Forgot the passcode?
Nobody can open the register without it — not this site either, because the passcode never leaves this device. If you have an encrypted backup, delete this copy and restore the backup with its own passphrase. Otherwise you can only delete it and start again.

Where your register is kept
In this browser on this device only (IndexedDB). It is not uploaded or copied anywhere, so clearing this browser’s site data deletes it: download an encrypted backup regularly and keep it somewhere safe.
Encrypted backup
One file with the whole register, encrypted on this device with a passphrase you choose (AES-256). Keep the file somewhere safe and the passphrase too: without it the file cannot be opened. Backups always download, also without a pass.
Restore a backup
Restoring replaces the register on this device with the one in the file. A passcode set on this device stays.
Passcode lock
Export
Your register is yours: these files always download, also without a pass. CSV files open in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice; the JSON file is the whole register, not encrypted.
Import
Bring client records in from a spreadsheet saved as CSV: the first row names the columns (download a template to see which). Rows with a problem are listed and left out. A JSON file exported from this register adds its records to this one.
Delete the register
Removes every client record and the passcode from this browser. Download a backup first if you may need them.

About the Salon & Spa Appointment Book and Client Register
An appointment book and client register for a salon, spa, barber shop, nail bar or beauty parlour, kept in your browser on your own device. The day book has a column for each stylist, therapist or chair, with every service in its own block for as long as it takes; services booked one after another follow each other, and a stylist who is already busy is flagged. The week shows each person’s bookings and booked hours.
Each client card keeps the contact details, allergies and notes, the preferred stylist, the visits and sales, the colour formulas used and every allergy alert (patch) test with its date and result: a booking of a service your menu marks as needing a test is checked against your own policy and the colour brand’s instructions. Sell packages of sessions, prepaid balances and memberships with a discount, and check out with services, products, tips, split payments and your own payment QR code — UPI for salons in India. Reminders open WhatsApp or the SMS app for one client at a time, for you to send. Receipts, the staff commission report and the daily collection report are a free preview without a pass; a Premium pass gives their PDFs, prints and exports. It is an appointment book for the front desk, not an online booking site.
How to use it
- Open Settings: your salon and logo, the currency and taxes, the opening hours, your team with their commission rates, the service menu (minutes, price and whether a service needs an allergy test), retail products, packages and memberships, your UPI ID or payment link, and your allergy-test policy.
- Add clients under Clients, or import them from a spreadsheet under Data & backup. On a client card, record allergy alert tests with their results and the colour formulas you use.
- Book from the Day book: click a time in a stylist’s column, or press New appointment and choose the services in order. The summary shows the end time, any clash and whether an allergy test is still needed.
- When the client arrives, mark them Arrived; at the end press Check out: add products or a package, use a package session or a prepaid balance, add a tip and take the payment, split if needed. The sale gets the next receipt number.
- Open the receipt, and the reports under Reports: without a pass they show as a free preview; with a Premium pass, print or download them. The CSV files under Data & backup always download.
Examples
Root colour 90 min with the colourist from 10:00, then a cut 45 min with a stylist
Colourist busy 10:00–11:30, stylist 11:30–12:15; the booking ends at 12:15
Your policy: a test 48 hours before, valid 180 days; the client’s last clear test was 44 days ago
Allergy test recorded — the booking can go ahead
With no test, or a test 24 hours before, the booking is flagged with the latest time to do the test.
A haircut and blow-dry from the “5 blow-dries” package (4 left) · shampoo 18.00 · tip 5.00 · paid from a prepaid card
3 of 5 blow-dries left after the sale; the tip goes to the stylist; the prepaid balance falls by the amount paid
Service sales 100.00 at 40 % with a 10 % product charge · retail 50.00 at 10 % · tips 10.00
36.00 + 5.00 commission + 10.00 tips = 51.00 pay
Common uses
- A salon or barber shop keeping its bookings, clients and takings on the front-desk tablet.
- A colourist who needs each client’s formula and allergy test before every colour service.
- A spa selling packages of treatments and memberships, and seeing what is left on each.
- An owner working out staff commission and the day’s takings by payment method.
Allergy alert tests against your own policy
Mark the services on your menu whose product asks for an allergy alert (patch) test — permanent colour, tints, some lash and brow products — and set your policy under Settings → Allergy alert tests, as the colour brand’s instructions say: how many hours before the service the test must be done, and how long a clear result counts (or a new test before every service). For each booking of such a service the register checks the client’s latest test:
- Allergy test recorded: read with no reaction, early enough and still valid.
- Allergy test needed, Test too close to the service or Test result too old: listed under Allergy tests to arrange with the latest time to test and a reminder for the client.
- Test not read yet or Reaction on the last test: shown on the booking.
The register keeps what you record; it does not decide whether a treatment is safe and gives no medical advice. A consultation and consent form can be made with the Salon & Beauty Client Consultation Form Maker.
Packages, prepaid balances and memberships
- Sessions of a service (5 blow-dries): each use at checkout takes one off, and the receipt shows how many are left.
- A prepaid balance (pay 200, spend 220): pay from it at checkout; the receipt shows the balance left.
- A membership: a percentage off services until it ends, put on the service lines at checkout.
Each can end a number of days after it is sold. Voiding a receipt puts back the sessions and the balance it used and cancels a package it sold.
Checkout, receipts and the payment QR code
A sale lists the services with the stylist who did them, products, packages sold and sessions used, a discount on a line or on the whole bill, the taxes you charge (taken out of tax-inclusive menu prices, or added at checkout) and tips, which are never taxed. Payments can be split between cash, card, UPI, a bank transfer and a prepaid balance; change is worked out. With your UPI ID under Settings (India, in rupees), the checkout shows a UPI QR code with the amount for the client to scan, and receipts with a balance due print one; elsewhere your own payment link can be shown as a QR code. Receipts print on A5, A4 or US Letter, or on a 58 or 80 mm thermal roll.
Your clients’ data stays on this device
The register is kept in this browser’s storage (IndexedDB) on this device and never uploaded. With a passcode every record is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Download an encrypted backup to move it to another device; CSV files of the clients, appointments, sales items and packages download at any time, also without a pass. Messages are never sent for you: each one opens WhatsApp or your SMS app for one client, or copies the text, and a client who does not want reminders is marked on their card.
Limitations
- One device: the register does not sync between devices. Move it with the encrypted backup.
- Clients cannot book themselves: it is the salon’s own book, not an online booking site.
- Taxes are what you enter: the page does not decide which rate applies to your services.
- Reminders are never sent automatically or to many clients at once.
- The commission report uses each stylist’s flat rates; for tiers or an hourly guarantee use the Salon Commission Calculator.
Privacy
On this device; its files download once
Clients’ names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses, allergies, notes, colour formulas, allergy tests, bookings, sales and packages stay in this browser on your device (IndexedDB), encrypted when you set a passcode. Receipts and reports are made on the device. Nothing is uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Salon & Spa Appointment Book and Client Register shows the whole appointment book on this device, with receipts as marked page images and the reports’ counts and first rows (up to 10), amounts hidden. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded, printed or shared. A Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
Can it stop me double-booking a stylist?
It flags it. A booking that overlaps another of the same stylist is refused unless you tick “book it even if a stylist is busy then” — for example to start another client while a colour develops. The day book shows overlapping bookings side by side.
How are allergy alert tests checked?
Only against your own policy and the tests you record: for a booking of a service your menu marks as needing a test, the client’s latest test before it must be read with no reaction, done at least the hours before you set, and still valid. Follow the colour brand’s instructions for the test itself.
What does the free preview show?
Everything in the register works in full: the day book, the week, client cards with formulas and tests, bookings, checkout, packages and the reminders. Receipts show as page images marked “MySmartCoPilot preview · not for use”, with the amounts the register works out hidden, and the reports show their counts and first rows; a Premium pass downloads and prints them and exports the reports.
Can I take UPI payments?
Yes, to your own UPI ID: enter it under Settings → Payment QR code. At checkout, a UPI payment shows a QR code with the amount for the client to scan with any UPI app, and receipts with a balance due print one. The money goes straight to your account; the register only records the payment.
Can I bring in my existing clients?
Yes. Under Data & backup download the template, fill one row per client (name, phone, e-mail, birthday, allergies, notes) and import it: clients already on file with the same name and phone are left out, and rows with a problem are listed.
