Affiliate disclosure
Some offers on MySmartCoPilot may earn us a commission. Here is how they are labelled, what that means for you, and which programs we belong to.
The short version
-
Always labelled “Affiliate link”
Every affiliate link carries the label, fixed in our code so it cannot be hidden or reworded.
-
No extra cost to you
We may earn a commission from the seller. You pay the same price as going to the seller directly.
-
Straight to the seller
We link to the exact address the affiliate program gave us. A MySmartCoPilot /go/ address is used only where a program allows it.
-
Results are never for sale
Commissions never change how a tool works, what it calculates or what our guides say.

Programs we belong to
MySmartCoPilot is not a member of any affiliate program at the moment. When we join one, we will name it here before any of its links appear.
What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a link to another company’s product or service. If you follow it and buy something, that company, or the affiliate network it works with, may pay MySmartCoPilot a commission. You do not pay anything extra: the price is the same as if you had gone to the seller directly. Commissions help keep MySmartCoPilot free.
How affiliate links are labelled
- Every affiliate link or offer box shows the label Affiliate link right next to it. The label is fixed in our code, so it cannot be hidden or reworded.
- Next to it, the offer box says that MySmartCoPilot may earn a commission and links to this page.
- Affiliate links carry
rel="sponsored", which tells search engines that the link is commercial. They open in a new tab.
Where affiliate links take you
Direct links (the default)
By default, an affiliate link on MySmartCoPilot goes straight to the seller. It uses the exact address the affiliate program gave us, and you can see it before you click: hover over the button, or press and hold it on a phone. Unless a program allows it (see below), we never send an affiliate link through another address or a link shortener of our own. Programs such as Amazon Associates and Flipkart do not allow their links to be sent through a redirect.
When you click a direct link, your browser sends MySmartCoPilot one anonymous event. It contains only the event type and the link’s short name,
for example amazon-keyboards. We add it to that link’s daily click count. MySmartCoPilot sets no cookie for this, and the event holds no
identifier and nothing about you or the page you were on. Your browser sends no event if it has a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal
on, and none is sent while we have switched statistics off. The link works the same either way.
Links through /go/ (only where a program allows it)
Some affiliate programs allow their links to pass through a short MySmartCoPilot address that starts with /go/, and only their links
may use one. When you click such a link, our server adds one to that link’s anonymous daily click count and sends you straight on to the
seller. It sets no cookie and records nothing about you. A link that is meant to be direct never works through a /go/ address.
What the seller learns
Either way, the seller can tell that you came from MySmartCoPilot. The link carries our affiliate code, so the program can credit us. Your browser also tells the seller our site’s address, but not which page you were on.
How we choose offers
- We only show offers that relate to the page you are on, for example web hosting on a developer tool, and never inside a tool’s results.
- A commission never changes how a tool works, what it calculates or what our guides say, and no company can pay for a better result.
- We never ask you to buy through our links to support us, and we never offer rewards for clicking.
- If an offer is paid for in another way, it is labelled “Sponsored” instead (see the advertising disclosure).
Amazon Associates
MySmartCoPilot is not part of the Amazon Associates program. If it joins, Amazon links will be labelled like every other affiliate link, and this statement will apply to them:
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Cookies and your privacy
When you follow an affiliate link, the company you visit may use cookies or similar technology on its own website to record that you came from MySmartCoPilot, so that it can pay the commission. That happens under its privacy policy, not ours. MySmartCoPilot never receives your name, contact or payment details: affiliate programs tell us how many clicks and orders came from MySmartCoPilot and what was earned, not who you are. See the privacy policy for more.
