About the Marketplace Listing Quality Analyzer
Listings lose sales on small things: a title over Amazon’s 200 characters, a word three times, “BEST PRICE!!!” in capitals, two bullet points where five fit, three photos, no colour or size, a description that repeats the title, the keywords shoppers type missing from the title. Drop the listings file you get from your seller panel — Amazon’s category listings report or flat file, a Flipkart or Meesho catalogue sheet, a Shopify or WooCommerce product CSV, any store sheet — and every listing gets a score out of 100 with the fixes that add the most points, Amazon’s published rules marked as such.
Add the keywords you want to rank for and the audit shows, listing by listing, whether each one is in the title, the bullets, the description or the search terms, and which keywords most listings miss. Each listing also gets a suggested title made from its own words: capitals calmed, prices and promotional words removed, words over Amazon’s repeat limit dropped, the brand first and the colour, size and material it lacks added. A catalogue of 50,000 listings is audited in seconds, in your browser: nothing is uploaded.
How to use it
- Get the listings file from your seller panel (Amazon: Inventory reports, or the category listings report) or your shop, and drop it here — CSV, TSV, TXT or Excel. No file handy? Press Try the example.
- Check Marketplace rules (found from the file’s headings) and type your target keywords, one per line; they are kept on this device for next time.
- Open Columns if a column was read wrongly, and give it its role (title, bullet, image …); the audit runs again at once.
- Read Listings to fix first: the lowest scores on top, each with its fixes (must fix, should fix, tips) and the points each adds, and the suggested title.
- With a Premium pass, unlock every listing and download the CSV report, the keyword report or the PDF, or copy the summary; without one, the result stays a free preview.
Examples

Must fix: ! and $ are not allowed, “bedsheet” three times · Should fix: capitals, “BEST PRICE”, “!!!” · Suggested: Kalakriti Bedsheet Cotton Double Bed Sheet, Pink
“✅ soft and breathable …”, “eco-friendly fabric …”, “100% money back guarantee …”, “sheet 275cm x 275cm”

Search Terms of 129 Devanagari characters and 30 spaces
Must fix: 417 bytes (129 × 3 + 30); Amazon asks for less than 250
Common uses
- Auditing a whole catalogue before a sale season, lowest scores first.
- Checking listings a cataloguing agency wrote, against Amazon’s published title and bullet rules.
- Finding which target keywords most listings miss, and where to add them.
- Rewriting titles that break Amazon’s repeat and character rules.
How the score works
Each listing is scored out of 100 on six parts, weighted for the marketplace (Amazon: title 25, bullet points 20, description 10, images 20, attributes 10, keywords 15):
- Title: its length, its structure (brand first, the product type, a detail such as size, colour, material or count) and whether it is clean (no banned characters, repeated words, promotional words, capitals or symbols).
- Bullet points: how many against the target (Amazon: five), and how many are clean: a capital first letter, no emoji or special characters, no repeats, no guarantees, no prohibited phrases.
- Description: its length, not a copy of the title or bullets, and no links, e-mail addresses or phone numbers.
- Images: how many working image links against the target (Amazon: seven).
- Attributes: the brand, colour, size, material and category columns the file has, filled in.
- Keywords: with target keywords, where each one is found (title counts most, then bullets, description and search terms); without them, whether the search terms are filled in and within the limit.
A part the file has no columns for (the bullet points of a report that has none) is left out instead of counting as zero. Grades: A from 85, B from 70, C from 50, D below.
Rules the marketplaces publish
- Amazon titles: at most 200 characters with spaces in most categories; none of ! $ ? _ { } ^ ¬ ¦ unless they are part of the brand name; no word more than twice, prepositions, articles and conjunctions excepted (Amazon’s announcement). These are errors here.
- Amazon bullet points: five main features; each starts with a capital letter; no special characters, emoji or ASINs; no prohibited phrases such as “eco-friendly” or “anti-bacterial”; no claims about guarantees or the company; no repeated information; a space between a number and its unit (Amazon’s post).
- Amazon search terms: less than 250 bytes, the limit Seller Central’s own error message gives; letters outside English take more than one byte each.
Everything else — the title lengths that score in full, the image and bullet targets of Flipkart, Meesho and online stores, the description lengths — is MySmartCoPilot’s guidance from what shoppers need to decide, and is shown as “should fix” or a tip, never as a marketplace rule.
Files it reads
Amazon’s category listings report and flat files (the row of labels or the row of attribute names, also the newer qualified names such as item_name[…]#1.value), Amazon’s all listings report (it has no bullet points, so they are left out), Flipkart and Meesho catalogue sheets, Shopify product CSVs (the image and variant rows of a product are read with it), WooCommerce exports (bullets from the short description’s list), and any sheet with a title column. Excel workbooks are read sheet by sheet and the sheet with the listings is chosen; parent rows of Amazon variation families are skipped, as shoppers buy the children.
Limitations
- It reads the file, not the live listings: it cannot see your photos’ quality, A+ content, reviews, the category’s own rules or what the marketplace shows after its own edits.
- Marketplace rules change. Amazon’s published title, bullet and search-term rules are applied as published; the other targets are guidance. When your seller panel says something else, follow the panel.
- Target keywords are matched as whole words, singular or plural (bedsheet matches bedsheets); other word forms and misspellings are not.
- Up to 100,000 rows and 120 MB per file are read.
- Without a pass, the page shows every count and the first listings, common fixes and keywords (up to 10 each); the full lists and the downloads need a Premium pass.

Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Marketplace Listing Quality Analyzer shows every count of the audit, with the first listings, common fixes and keywords (up to 10 each; a single listing with its fixes hidden). Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
Is my listings file uploaded anywhere?
No. It is read and audited in your browser, in a background worker on your device. Nothing is sent to MySmartCoPilot, to any marketplace or to anyone else.
How long can an Amazon title be?
Amazon’s rules give at most 200 characters with spaces in most categories (some categories and stores allow less). The audit treats over 200 as a must-fix, and over 150 as a tip: phones show only the start, so the brand, the product type and its key detail should come first.
Why does it count bytes for search terms, not characters?
Amazon’s limit for search terms is in bytes: less than 250. An English letter is one byte, but é is two and a Devanagari letter is three, so 150 Hindi letters already pass the limit.
Which marketplace’s rules are used?
The one found from the file’s headings (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, an online store or other); you can choose another under Marketplace rules. Only Amazon publishes the rules applied as must-fix items; for the others the targets are guidance.
Can it rewrite my listings?
Each listing gets a suggested title made from its own words and attributes, following the marketplace’s rules. It does not invent features: bullets and descriptions need your knowledge of the product.
Is this tool made by Amazon, Flipkart or Meesho?
No. MySmartCoPilot is not affiliated with Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Shopify or WooCommerce; they are named only to describe the files the audit reads and the rules they publish.
