About the Festival & Business Greeting Poster Maker (India)

Make greeting posts for festivals and occasions with your business on them. Pick Diwali, Eid, Pongal, Onam, Christmas or any other day from the festival calendar — or an everyday post such as Good morning, Thank you, Grand opening or a holiday notice — and the poster is ready with a matching picture, a greeting in English, a second line in Hindi or the festival’s own language, and a short wish you can change.

Fill in your business once: logo, name, phone or WhatsApp number, website, address, your photo and a UPI QR code for payments. That brand frame goes on every template and every post. Download a 1,080 × 1,080 post, a 1,080 × 1,920 WhatsApp Status or Story, a 4:5 portrait post or an A4 print (PDF with 3 mm bleed and crop marks), or a ZIP of the whole month’s festival posts at once. Everything is drawn in your browser: nothing is uploaded and nothing is added to your posts.

    How to use it

    1. Under Occasion, choose a festival from the calendar (the next ones are at the top), an international day, or an everyday post under Any day.
    2. Check the words under Words & photo: the greeting, the second line and the message are suggestions — change them freely. Tick Show the date or Holiday notice for a dated occasion.
    3. Pick a layout and the size: square post, portrait post, WhatsApp Status / Story or A4 print. Choose another picture or font if you like.
    4. Fill in Your business — logo, name, phone, website, address, photo and the QR code (UPI ID, WhatsApp chat, website or map link) — and pick the band, card or text-only frame.
    5. Download a PNG or JPG (and a PDF for A4), share it straight to WhatsApp on a phone, or download every post of a month as a ZIP.

    Common uses

    • Shops, restaurants, clinics, coaching classes, salons and agents posting festival wishes to customers on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook.
    • Holiday notices: “Closed for Diwali”, with the date, for a shop window or a Status.
    • Printed A4 greetings for a counter, a notice board or a newspaper insert.
    • Personal wishes for family and friends (leave the business details empty and pick “None” as the frame).

    The festival calendar

    • Festivals and holidays come from the holiday data built into this tool: the gazetted and restricted holidays that the Department of Personnel & Training lists for Central Government offices (DoPT holiday lists). They include the regional festivals on the restricted list, such as Pongal, Bihu, Vishu, Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Onam, Chhath Puja and Karwa Chauth.
    • Festivals set by the moon can move by a day (Eid in particular, when the moon is sighted), and states may keep them on other days. Check the date for your city before you post a dated notice.
    • International days are the United Nations observances on fixed dates, from the UN list of international days: for example World Environment Day, International Day of Yoga and World Teachers’ Day.
    • Any day has posts without a date: good morning, thank you, opening, new arrivals, festive offers, holiday notice, birthdays, anniversaries and days such as Teachers’ Day and Doctors’ Day.
    • Days of mourning or remembrance — Good Friday, Muharram and Guru Tegh Bahadur’s martyrdom day — get a quiet design and no “Happy”; add your own words.

    Your brand frame

The frame sits at the foot of every template: a coloured band (your brand colour, or the template’s own), a white card, or text only on the design. It holds your logo, name, tagline, phone (with a WhatsApp mark when the number takes WhatsApp messages), website, e-mail, address, your photo in a circle and a QR code.

The UPI QR holds a standard UPI payment link (upi://pay with your UPI ID and name, no amount), so customers scan it with any UPI app and type the amount. Scan it once with your own phone before you share a poster. The other QR choices open a WhatsApp chat with your number (wa.me), your website or a map link.

The typed details are remembered in this browser if you leave Remember on. The logo and photo are not stored: choose them again next time, or save a brand kit file, which keeps everything — and lets you keep one kit per brand or branch and open it on any device.

    Sizes and printing

    • Square post 1,080 × 1,080 and portrait post 1,080 × 1,350 (4:5) for the WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook feeds; Status / Story 1,080 × 1,920 (9:16) for full-screen Status and Stories.
    • A4 print is 210 × 297 mm (ISO 216) drawn at 300 pixels per inch. Its PDF can carry a 3 mm bleed — the background printed past the cut line — and crop marks, with the trim and bleed sizes recorded in the PDF (TrimBox and BleedBox), the way print shops expect. Ask your printer which bleed they want; 3 mm is the usual value.
    • PNG keeps text sharpest; JPG files are smaller. PNG and JPG files of A4 posters carry their 300 dpi resolution.

    Fonts and Indian scripts

The fonts are self-hosted open-source fonts under the SIL Open Font License, which allows them in posters and artwork. Poppins and Noto Sans include Devanagari, so Hindi, Marathi and Nepali greetings use them on every device. Tamil, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi (Gurmukhi), Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Odia text is drawn with your device’s own font for that script — Android, iOS, macOS and Windows all have them — and the page warns you to check the preview when a greeting uses one.

    What the templates contain

Every picture is drawn by this tool from simple shapes: lamps, lights, rangoli, marigold garlands, kites, the crescent and lanterns, colour splashes, flowers, fireworks and the like. There are no deities or religious emblems, no national flag or emblem, and no likeness of any person, and there are no election or campaign templates. National days use saffron, white and green as colours only.

Do not add the State Emblem of India (the Lion Capital with Satyameva Jayate) to business posts: the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005 forbids using it for any trade, business, calling or profession, except as its rules allow (section 4; the Act as published by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Gazette text in Hindi, and an English text).

    Limitations

    • The festival calendar covers the festivals on the DoPT holiday lists, for the years the tool carries; other years show the international and any-day posts only. Festivals that are not on those lists (Dhanteras or Lohri, for example) are not in the calendar: start from an Any day post and type the greeting. Moon-sighted dates can change at short notice.
    • Layouts are fixed: you change the words, pictures, colours, fonts and sizes, not the position of each item. For free-form editing, start a design in the Graphic Design Editor and add the downloaded poster to it.
    • Scripts other than Latin and Devanagari need a font on your device; the preview shows what you will get.
    • The logo and photo are kept only in a brand kit file you save, not in the browser.
    • Colours are RGB; a print shop converts them for its printer, so printed colours can look slightly different.

    Privacy

Your logo, photos and details are opened and drawn in your browser and are never uploaded. Only the typed business details are remembered in this browser (when “Remember” is on); delete them with “Clear details” or on the Cookies & storage page.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is there a watermark?

No. Nothing is added to your posts — no logo of ours, no link.

Can I put my UPI QR code on the poster?

Yes. Choose UPI payment under QR code and type your UPI ID (for example yourshop@okaxis). The QR holds a standard UPI payment link without an amount, so customers type how much they pay. Always test it with your own UPI app before sharing.

Why is the second line in Tamil, Bengali or Punjabi for some festivals?

Regional festivals get a greeting in their own language — Pongal in Tamil, Onam and Vishu in Malayalam, Ugadi in Telugu, Gudi Padwa in Marathi, Vaisakhi in Punjabi, the Bengali New Year in Bengali. Every line is a suggestion: type Hindi, English or any language instead.

How do I make posts for the whole month?

Under Download, pick the month and choose Download the month’s posts. You get a ZIP with one post for each festival and day of that month, each with its own picture and greeting, in your chosen layout, size and brand frame.

Can I print the A4 poster at a print shop?

Yes: download the PDF of the A4 size with bleed and crop marks. It is 210 × 297 mm at 300 dpi with the background extended 3 mm past the edges, so the shop can cut it cleanly. Without bleed it suits a home or office printer.

Can I use these posters commercially?

Yes. The artwork is original and drawn by the tool, and the fonts’ licence allows posters; under the terms you may use what you make for personal and commercial purposes. You need the rights to the logo and photos you add.
