Without it, the SVG and PNG are transparent. The version chosen above is downloaded; text is converted to outlines.

Before you use it: stock icons are not exclusive, so check that the name and logo are free to use as a trademark in your country.

Licences and trademarks

The fonts are under the SIL Open Font License, which allows them in logos, and the icons come from Lucide (ISC licence) — both free for commercial use. Stock icons are not exclusive: anyone can use the same icon, so it cannot make your logo unique on its own. Before you use a name or logo commercially, search your country’s trademark register (for example IP India, the USPTO or WIPO’s Global Brand Database), and consider registering it.

About the Logo Maker

Make a simple, professional logo in a few minutes, with no sign-up. Type your brand name and an optional tagline, then choose a layout: symbol + name, stacked, wordmark, round badge with the name around the edge, emblem (a shield or other shape) or symbol only. The symbol is one of more than 1,800 open-licence Lucide icons or a monogram of 1–3 letters, in a circle, rounded square, squircle, hexagon or diamond if you like.

Pick from nine self-hosted fonts under the SIL Open Font License, twelve colour palettes or your own colours, and fine-tune letter spacing, sizes, gaps and margins while the preview updates. Text is converted to outlines, so the SVG looks exactly the same in every program and on every computer, with no fonts to install. Download the SVG or a transparent PNG (256–2,048 px wide) in four versions: colour, colour for dark backgrounds, black and white.

How to use it

  1. Type your brand name and, if you want one, a tagline.
  2. Choose a layout, then a symbol: click an icon (or search all icons), or switch to Monogram and type 1–3 letters. Pick a container shape and whether it is filled or outlined.
  3. Choose a font, weight and letter case, and a colour palette — or set the symbol, name, tagline and background colours yourself. Adjust sizes, spacing and the margin.
  4. Check all four versions under the preview, choose one, and select SVG or PNG. Tick Include the background colour for a solid background instead of a transparent one.

Common uses

  • A first logo for a small business, shop, freelancer, YouTube channel or club.
  • A clean placeholder logo while a designer works on the final one.
  • Monograms and badges for social profiles, stickers, stamps and event T-shirts.
  • A matching set of colour, dark-background and one-colour versions for a brand kit.

Tips for a logo that works everywhere

  • Keep it simple. One symbol, one or two fonts and two or three colours. Simple logos stay recognisable on a phone screen, a shop sign and a rubber stamp.
  • Check it small. Look at the smallest preview: if the name or tagline is hard to read, make the tagline larger or drop it for small uses.
  • Check it in one colour. The black and white versions show whether the logo still works on a fax, a stamp, an embroidery or a photo.
  • Have a square version. Profile pictures and app icons are square — the Symbol only layout gives you one.
  • Mind the contrast. The page warns when the name has less than 4.5:1 contrast with the background — the level WCAG asks for ordinary text. Logos themselves are exempt, but a readable name helps everyone.

What you download

  • SVG — a vector file for websites, printers and sign makers. It scales to any size, and its text is outlines, so no font is needed. Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity Designer and Figma can open and edit it, and Canva can import it.
  • PNG — a transparent image for Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs, email signatures and social media. Choose 512 px for profile pictures, 1,024–2,048 px for documents and print.
  • Versions — Colour for light backgrounds; Colour for dark backgrounds, which uses light text and lightens the symbol colour if it would be too dark to see; Black and White, single-colour versions in which letters and icons on a filled shape are cut out (transparent).

Fonts, icons and trademarks

All fonts are published under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which allows them to be used in logos, and the icons come from Lucide under the ISC licence; both allow commercial use. Because these are stock icons and public fonts, other people can use the same ones: a logo made from them is not exclusive, and one built only from stock elements can be harder to protect as a trademark. Before you use a name and logo commercially, search your country’s trademark register — for example IP India’s public search, the USPTO’s trademark search or WIPO’s Global Brand Database — and consider registering it. For a truly unique symbol, sketch one, scan it and turn it into vectors with the PNG to SVG converter.

Limitations

  • Text can be written in Latin scripts (including accented letters), and with some fonts Cyrillic, Greek or Vietnamese. Devanagari, Arabic and East Asian scripts are not supported yet; such letters are left out with a warning.
  • Symbols are line icons from Lucide or letters; you cannot draw your own symbol here.
  • Your choices are not saved when you leave the page (only the font and palette are remembered), so download the files you need.
  • Export is SVG and PNG. For PDF or EPS, open the SVG in Inkscape, Illustrator or Affinity Designer and save it from there.

Privacy

Everything happens in your browser. What you enter or open here is not uploaded or stored by MySmartCoPilot. The font engine (about 320 KB) and each font you pick (up to about 45 KB) are downloaded from this site the first time they are needed, and the full icon list (about 150 KB) when you first search it. Your logo is made on your device; nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is this logo maker free?

It is a Pro tool. You can try it without signing up: design your logo and see all four versions in the preview. A Pro pass unlocks the tool for regular use. Everything runs in your browser.

Can I use the logo for my business?

The fonts (SIL Open Font License) and icons (Lucide, ISC licence) allow commercial use, so you can use the logo on your products, website and signs. Because the icons and fonts are available to everyone, the logo is not exclusive — check your country’s trademark register before relying on it.

How do I get a logo with a transparent background?

Leave Include the background colour unticked and download the PNG (or SVG): everything outside the logo is transparent. Use the White or Colour for dark backgrounds version on dark photos and backgrounds.

Why is my text a set of shapes in the SVG?

The text is converted to outlines so the logo looks identical everywhere, even on computers without the font. To change the wording later, edit it here and download again.

What size should my logo PNG be?

Use 512 px for profile pictures and WhatsApp or Google Business icons, 1,024 px for documents and presentations, and 2,048 px or the SVG for print. For website favicons, make a square Symbol only logo and use the favicon generator.

Is my brand name sent anywhere?

No. Your name, tagline and logo stay in your browser; only the fonts and the icon list are downloaded from this site.
