About the AI Title & Headline Generator

Describe your piece in a sentence or two — or paste its draft — and get up to ten title ideas for a blog post, an article, an essay, a research paper, a book, a story, a newsletter, a podcast episode, a talk or a video. Pick a style (how-to, list, question, curiosity, keyword first, academic or a mix) and, if you like, a keyword every title should use. Press More titles for different ones.

Every title is checked with the rules published below: its length, whether it uses your keyword near the start, long words, hype words such as “ultimate” or “guaranteed” that the piece may not back up, and shouting (capitals for emphasis, exclamation marks). Re-case them all in APA, Chicago, AP or MLA title case, or sentence case, with the rules of the Title Capitalization Tool.

No AI needed for a start: type a topic and the formula titles — the forms editors use, filled with your topic — appear at once. The AI titles come from MySmartCoPilot’s cloud AI, and only after you agree to send your description.

    How to use it

    1. Describe the piece or paste its draft, and choose its kind and the title style — or press Try an example.
    2. Type the main keyword or topic in a few words: the formula titles appear at once, and the AI uses it in every title.
    3. Press Get AI titles and agree to send your description to MySmartCoPilot’s cloud AI.
    4. Read the checks under each title, pick a capitalisation style, and press More titles for different ideas.
    5. Pick a title that says what your piece really delivers. Copying and the downloads unlock with a Pro pass; without one the free preview shows the first half of the formula titles and the start of each AI title.

    Common uses

    • Naming a blog post or newsletter so readers know what they will get.
    • Finding a clear, descriptive title for an essay or a research paper.
    • Brainstorming names for a book, a story, a talk or a podcast episode.
    • Writing several honest options to test before you publish.

    The title checks

    • Length: 20–65 characters is this page’s rule of thumb. Search engines shorten long titles to fit the screen — Google cuts title links “as needed, typically to fit the device width” (Google Search Central) — so the words that matter go first. Books and stories may be shorter.
    • Keyword: used, and near the start when it matters for search.
    • Plain words: at most one word of four syllables or more (English titles).
    • Hype: words such as best, ultimate, guaranteed, secret or “you won’t believe” are flagged — keep them only if the piece backs them up.
    • Shouting: a title in capitals, words in capitals for emphasis, or an exclamation mark.

Each title also shows its kind: how-to, list, question, guide or statement. The checks are guidance for clear, honest titles, not a prediction of clicks.

    Formula titles (no AI)

Type a topic and the page fills the forms editors use: how-to (“How to start composting at home”), list (“[N] ways to …”), question (“What is …?”), guide (“… : a beginner’s guide”), overview and keyword-first forms, chosen to fit the kind of piece. A topic that starts with a verb gets the how-to forms; a noun gets the explaining ones, with the verbs a plural needs (“How electric cars work”). A question or a “how to” typed around the topic (“how to save money”, “what is blockchain”) is taken off first. They are in English.

    Honest titles

Google’s guidance is to write titles that are descriptive and concise and to avoid keyword stuffing (Google Search Central). The AI is told the same: no clickbait, no promises the piece doesn’t keep, and no invented numbers — where a list title needs a count you didn’t give, it writes [N] for you to replace.

    Limitations

    • AI titles can be generic or miss what makes your piece different. Pick one that matches what you actually wrote, and edit it.
    • The checks read the title alone; they cannot tell whether the piece delivers what the title says.
    • The plain-words check reads English titles; formula titles are in English. AI titles follow the language of your description.
    • AI titles need MySmartCoPilot’s cloud AI, which has a small shared daily allowance that resets at 05:30 IST (00:00 UTC); formula titles always work.
    • YouTube video titles have their own tools with YouTube’s limits.

    Privacy

The formula titles and every title check are made in your browser. Only if you press Get AI titles and agree are your description or draft, the kind of piece, the style, the keyword and the titles already shown — with email addresses and phone numbers masked first — sent to MySmartCoPilot’s cloud AI; MySmartCoPilot doesn’t store them. If the consent step offers you an outside AI service with more answers a day and you choose it, the company that runs it may keep what is sent and use it to train its AI.

    Frequently asked questions

What do I get without a pass?

Without a pass, AI Title & Headline Generator shows the first half of the formula titles (up to 10) with their length, keyword and hype checks, and the start of each AI title. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.

How long should a title be?

Long enough to say what the piece is about, with the important words first. This page flags titles over 65 characters as long — a rule of thumb, since search engines shorten titles to fit the screen rather than at a fixed length.

Why does a title say [N]?

A list title needs the number of items your piece really has. The AI and the formulas never make one up: replace [N] with your count (“7 ways to …”).

    Is my description sent anywhere?

Only when you press Get AI titles and agree: then your description, the settings and the titles already shown go to MySmartCoPilot’s cloud AI, with email addresses and phone numbers masked, and are not stored. The formula titles and the checks never leave your browser.

Which capitalisation style should I use?

Follow your publication’s or school’s style guide: APA, Chicago, AP and MLA each lower-case a different set of small words, and sentence case capitalises only the first word and names. The Title Capitalization Tool explains each rule word by word.
