About the AI Text Expander (sentence & paragraph lengthener)
Give the expander a sentence, a few notes or a short paragraph and it develops it into a longer text that says the same thing more fully: explanation, context, transitions and — if you want — a clearly marked example. Choose ×1.5, ×2 or an exact word count (up to four times your text), a tone and a language.
An expansion is checked before you see it. It must be longer than your text and keep at least 70 % of its key words, and every name, number, amount or date that was not in your text is highlighted for you to verify or delete. Where a specific fact would help but you did not give one, the AI writes [ADD DETAIL] instead of inventing it. Each run adds a version (up to three), and What was added shows the new words against your own.
The expanding runs on your device where it can — in your browser’s built-in AI or a model you download once — and on MySmartCoPilot’s cloud AI only if you choose it.
How to use it
- Paste or type a sentence or paragraph (up to 600 words), or press Try an example.
- Choose the Length — ×1.5, ×2 or a word count — then the Tone, and whether to add a short example.
- Press Expand. The first time, choose where the AI runs: on this device (the download size is shown first) or MySmartCoPilot’s cloud AI (you see exactly what is sent).
- Check every highlighted word and fill in each [ADD DETAIL]; use What was added to see the new words, and Another version for a different wording.
- Copying and the .txt and Word downloads unlock with a Pro pass; without one the free preview shows the first words of each version.
Examples
Regular exercise improves sleep and mood. Even a short walk after work helps.
Regular exercise improves sleep: when the body has been active during the day, falling asleep at night tends to be easier. It also lifts mood. You do not need a long workout for this — even a short walk after work helps.
No new facts: the added sentences explain what the text already says.
Back up your files. Use two copies, one off-site.
Back up your files regularly so that a broken laptop or a lost phone does not cost you your work. Keep at least two copies, and store one of them off-site. For example, keep one copy on an external drive at home and another in a different place.
Our clinic opens a new branch next month.
Our clinic is opening a new branch next month at [ADD DETAIL], bringing the same care closer to more patients.
The address was not in the text, so the AI asks for it instead of making one up.
Common uses
- Turning bullet points or notes into a paragraph for an email, a report or a product page.
- Developing a thin paragraph that reads too abrupt.
- Drafting a fuller first version of a text you will then edit yourself.
- Reaching a minimum length for a form or a listing without padding it by hand.
What the expander adds, and what it may not
It may add explanation of what your text says, context that follows from it, transitions between ideas and — when you tick the box — a short example that begins with “For example” or “e.g.”. It is told never to invent statistics, studies, quotes, sources, names, dates or prices, and to write [ADD DETAIL] where a specific fact would help. Because models can still slip, every name, number, amount, date or time that was not in your text is highlighted and listed. A general claim written without any of these is not caught, so read every added sentence as well.
How the result is checked
- The answer must be longer than your text and stay within about six times its length.
- It must keep at least 70 % of your text’s key words, so it is your text developed, not a different one.
- It may add no links, and masked personal details (email addresses, phone numbers, ID numbers) must come back unchanged.
- New names, numbers, amounts, dates and times are highlighted; quotations that are not in your text are pointed out.
An answer that fails the first two checks is not shown at all.
Length and long texts
×1.5 and ×2 work from your text’s word count, and the AI is always asked for at least 10 words. A word count can be up to four times your text — beyond that an expansion becomes padding. Texts longer than about 150 words go paragraph by paragraph, and the target is shared out between the parts by their length; you agree once for the whole text.
Schoolwork and honesty
An expanded text is a draft written with AI. Follow your school’s, publisher’s or employer’s rules on AI help, say where you used it, and check every statement it makes — the highlights show where to start. The label above the result says that AI wrote it, and downloads say so too.
Limitations
- AI-expanded text may add general statements that are not true for your case. Check every added sentence, not only the highlighted words.
- The highlight finds numbers, amounts, dates, times and names written with capitals (also after a title such as “Dr.”). A one-word name at the start of a sentence, a name in a script without capitals, or a new claim written without any of these can still slip through.
- On-device models need a browser with WebGPU; the smallest writes English only. The cloud AI has a small shared daily allowance that resets at 05:30 IST (00:00 UTC).
- Up to 600 words per run, sent in parts of about 150 words; the model does not see the other parts.
Privacy
Your text is expanded on your device by your browser’s built-in AI, or by an AI model that is downloaded from MySmartCoPilot once (its size is shown first) and then runs in your browser. Only if you choose MySmartCoPilot’s cloud AI is your text sent, with email addresses, phone numbers and ID numbers masked first; it is not stored.
Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, AI Text Expander (sentence & paragraph lengthener) shows the first words of the AI result (up to 100). Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Pro or Premium pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
Does it make things up?
It is told not to — it writes [ADD DETAIL] where a fact is missing — and every new name, number or date is highlighted so you can check it. An answer that drifts away from your text is rejected before you see it.
How long can the result be?
Up to four times your text’s length, and at most 450 words for each part of about 150 words — 250 in scripts such as Devanagari or Tamil, whose words take more of the AI’s room, so the answer is not cut off. Choose ×1.5, ×2 or enter the word count you need.
Is my text uploaded?
Not unless you choose the cloud option. Your browser’s built-in AI and the downloadable model run on your device. If you pick MySmartCoPilot’s cloud AI, the dialog shows exactly what is sent — with email addresses, phone numbers and ID numbers replaced by placeholders — and nothing is stored.
Can I use it for an essay?
Only within your institution’s rules on AI help, and say that you used it. The expander develops your own sentences; it does not research a topic, and it will not add sources or quotations.
