About the LinkedIn Banner Resizer
Add a picture and get a LinkedIn banner at the exact size: 1584 × 396 pixels (4:1) for the background photo of your profile, or 1512 × 256 for the cover image of a company Page. Choose Crop to fill and the band to keep; the centre is safest, because LinkedIn shows more or less of a banner on different screens. A banner this size always comes out under LinkedIn’s file limits, 8 MB for a profile background and 3 MB for a Page cover.
Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Without a pass, the free preview shows your banner at preview size with a MySmartCoPilot watermark; the file downloads with a pass, or after unlocking this result.
How to use it
- Drop a picture on the box or choose it: a wide photo works best.
- Pick Profile background (1584 × 396) or Page cover (1512 × 256), then choose Crop to fill and the part to keep.
- Check the result, keeping text and faces away from the edges; download it with a pass, or after unlocking it, and upload it on LinkedIn.
Examples
4032 × 3024 photo · LinkedIn profile background (4:1) · Crop to fill, centre
1584 × 396 px: a band across the middle of the photo, the top and bottom trimmed.
3000 × 2000 picture · LinkedIn Page cover · Crop to fill, centre
1512 × 256 px for the cover image of the Page.
LinkedIn’s banner sizes
- Profile background photo: 1584 × 396 pixels (4:1), JPG or PNG, up to 8 MB. How much of it shows changes with the browser window and the screen, so keep key details away from the edges.
- Page cover image (company Pages): 1512 × 256 pixels, PNG or JPEG, up to 3 MB. It may be trimmed to fit a screen: keep important details in the centre, away from the edges and especially the lower right.

Crop or pad?
- Crop to fill covers the banner and trims what does not fit; Position chooses the band that stays.
- Fit with padding shows the whole picture with bands in a colour you pick: good for a logo on a plain colour.
- A banner is four times as wide as it is tall, so start from a wide photo: a tall one keeps only a thin strip.

How this compares
- Runs on your device: your browser resizes the picture itself; it is never uploaded.
- See it before you pay: the free preview shows your banner with a MySmartCoPilot watermark; the file you download with a pass, or after unlocking it, holds only your picture.
- You don’t need an account: no sign-up, no email address and nothing to install.
Limitations
- Pictures up to 50 megapixels, with at most 16,384 px on a side.
- Enlarging cannot add detail: a picture narrower than the banner comes out softer.
- Animated GIF, PNG and WebP files keep only their first frame.
- HEIC photos open here only in Safari 17 or later; elsewhere convert them first with the HEIC to JPG Converter.
- MySmartCoPilot is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn or Microsoft; LinkedIn’s banner sizes are named only to fit the picture to them.

Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, LinkedIn Banner Resizer shows each resized image at preview size (at most half its pixels) with a MySmartCoPilot watermark, its real size and KB; in a batch the first images (up to 3). Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
What size is a LinkedIn banner?
A profile background photo is 1584 × 396 pixels (4:1), JPG or PNG up to 8 MB; the cover image of a company Page is 1512 × 256 pixels, PNG or JPEG up to 3 MB.
Why is my LinkedIn banner cut off?
LinkedIn shows more or less of it depending on the browser window and the screen. Keep text and faces near the centre, away from the edges.
Is my picture uploaded?
No. It is resized in your browser, and the page keeps working offline once it has loaded.
