About the Proposal Builder (Sales Proposals, Interactive Pricing, E-Sign)

Build a proposal from blocks — a cover with both logos, the executive summary, the client’s challenge, your approach, scope and deliverables, a timeline, your team, case studies, testimonials, pricing, an ROI calculation, terms and next steps — starting from a template (web design, marketing retainer, consulting, IT services, events, construction or photography) or your own content library. Pricing takes fixed items, optional add-ons the client can tick, quantities the client may change within limits you set, good-better-best packages, a discount, taxes (GST, VAT or sales tax), and one-off and monthly or yearly totals with an advance.

Publish it as a client link: the proposal is encrypted inside the link itself, so nothing is stored on a server. Your client opens it, chooses options and sees the total update, accepts with their name and a typed or drawn signature, and then sees your UPI QR code or payment link for the advance. Their acceptance comes back to you as a reply link with the SHA-256 fingerprint of exactly the proposal they accepted, and an acceptance certificate as PDF. Without a pass you edit the whole proposal and see the client view as marked pages with a working price panel; a Premium pass creates the link and downloads the PDF and the Word file.

          How to use it

          1. Pick a template and press Use template, or start from the Example. Fill in Proposal details and You and your client, and add both logos.
          2. Edit each section: write in plain text (a blank line starts a paragraph, “- ” a bullet), add deliverables, phases and team members, and add or reorder sections. Save sections you reuse to your content library.
          3. Under Pricing, add items and choose for each whether it is always included, optional or a quantity the client chooses (with the least and most), and whether it is charged once, monthly or yearly. Add packages, a discount and taxes, or import the items of your quotation draft.
          4. Check the Client view and the Checks. Set the advance and your UPI ID or payment link under Payment after acceptance.
          5. With a Premium pass, press Create the client link (it is copied) and send it, or download the proposal as PDF or Word. When the client accepts, they send you a reply link: open it here to see what they accepted and download the acceptance certificate, which needs no pass.

          Examples

          Pricing the client can change
          Input
          Discovery ₹96,000 (included) · 2 extra pages × ₹36,000 (client sets 0–20) · care plan ₹14,400 a month (optional, ticked) · 5% launch discount · CGST 9% + SGST 9%
          Result
The client sees each line with a quantity box or a tick box, and the one-off and monthly totals update as they change them — subtotal, discount, CGST, SGST and total — with the 50% advance on the one-off total.
ROI from the client’s own numbers
          Input
          One-off ₹6,00,000 · ₹10,000 a month · the client expects ₹1,20,000 more revenue a month · over 12 months
          Result
          Cost over 12 months ₹7,20,000 · benefit ₹14,40,000 · ROI 100% · payback 5.5 months (₹6,00,000 ÷ (₹1,20,000 − ₹10,000)).

          Common uses

          • Agencies, studios and freelancers sending proposals with options instead of a fixed quote.
          • Consultants and IT providers offering good-better-best packages with monthly fees.
          • Event, construction and photography businesses taking an advance as soon as the client accepts.
          • Teams reusing their best sections from a content library on every proposal.

          How the client link works

When you create the link, the proposal is compressed and encrypted (AES-GCM with a new random key) and written into the part of the address after the #. Browsers never send that part to a web server, so the proposal is not stored anywhere: the link is the proposal. Anyone with the link can open it, so share it like a document you e-mail. Change the proposal and you create a new link; the old one keeps showing what it showed.

Your client accepts with their name and a typed or drawn signature. The acceptance records the options they chose, the totals, the time on their device and the SHA-256 fingerprint of the proposal, and travels back to you the same way, as a reply link sealed with the proposal’s key. Because nothing is stored on a server, the page cannot tell you when the client opened the link: you know they accepted when their reply link arrives.

          Electronic acceptance and the law

          • United States: under the ESIGN Act a contract or signature in interstate or foreign commerce may not be denied legal effect solely because it is in electronic form (15 U.S.C. § 7001); consumer contracts have extra disclosure rules.
          • European Union: under the eIDAS Regulation (Article 25), an electronic signature cannot be refused legal effect or as evidence only because it is electronic or not qualified; only a qualified electronic signature has the same effect as a handwritten one across the EU (European Commission eSignature FAQ). The acceptance here is a simple electronic signature.
          • India: the Information Technology Act, 2000 deals with contracts formed through electronic records in section 10A; check it and the documents the Act leaves out.

Electronic acceptance rules vary by country, so take legal advice for high-value or regulated contracts.

          Pricing rules

          • Each line is quantity × unit price; totals are worked out in whole cents (paise) so they never drift.
          • A percentage discount applies to every period (one-off, monthly, yearly); an amount discount applies to the one-off total only.
          • Taxes apply to the taxed lines after their share of the discount, each rounded to the cent. Choose the rate that applies to what you sell; for India the page offers CGST + SGST (in your State) or IGST, for the UK the 20% standard rate of VAT.
          • The advance is the percentage you set of the one-off total, shown to the client after they accept, with your UPI QR code (for rupees) or your own payment link.

          Limitations

          • There is no server: the page cannot track when the client opens the proposal, and the acceptance reaches you only when the client sends the reply link.
          • Very long proposals make long links: logos are left out first, and some chat apps cut links of many thousands of characters, so send long links by e-mail.
          • The acceptance is a simple electronic signature (a name, and a drawing if the client makes one); it does not verify who signed. For contracts that need a qualified or witnessed signature, use those instead.
          • The PDF draws Latin-script text; the Word file and the client view show other scripts with the device’s fonts.

          Privacy

Everything happens in your browser. The proposal is not uploaded: it travels only inside the link you send, encrypted. The client’s choices, name, signature and acceptance stay in their browser and in the reply link they send you. Your draft and content library are kept in this browser until you remove them.

          Frequently asked questions

What do I get without a pass?

Without a pass, Proposal Builder (Sales Proposals, Interactive Pricing, E-Sign) shows every page with your details, the first part of the wording readable and the rest hidden, marked “MySmartCoPilot preview · not for use”. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded, copied or opened in another app. A Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.

Where is the proposal stored when I send the link?

Nowhere: it is inside the link itself, compressed and encrypted, in the part of the address browsers do not send to servers. Whoever has the link can open it, so send it only to your client.

Can my client change quantities or pick options?

Yes, where you allow it: optional items can be ticked, “client sets quantity” items can be changed between the least and most you set, and with packages the client picks one. The totals update as they choose, and the acceptance records their choices.

How do I know the client accepted?

After accepting, your client sees a reply link and buttons to e-mail it or send it on WhatsApp to you. Open the reply link here: it shows who accepted, when, what they chose and the totals, checks the fingerprint against the proposal saved in this browser, and gives you the acceptance certificate as PDF.

          Do I need a pass?

To create the client link or download the PDF or Word file, yes: a Premium pass unlocks every Premium tool. Without a pass you can build and edit the whole proposal and see a free preview of the client view as marked pages, with the working price panel. Your client never needs a pass to open, accept or sign.

          Is the acceptance legally binding?

Many countries recognise electronic signatures and contracts formed electronically, but the rules and their exceptions differ (see “Electronic acceptance and the law” above). This page records a simple electronic acceptance; for high-value or regulated contracts, take legal advice and use the signing method the law asks for.
