Your policy register

The register is kept in this browser on this device; nothing is uploaded.

Premiums due

Due dates are worked out from each policy’s commencement date, mode and premium-paying term. A reminder opens WhatsApp or your SMS app with the message for one client; you press Send yourself.

Results are estimates for general information and planning, not financial advice. Banks and institutions may calculate differently (rounding, fees, rate changes). Confirm figures with your lender or a qualified adviser before deciding.

About the Insurance Agent’s Policy Register & Renewal Planner (on-device)

A register for insurance agents that runs in your browser and keeps every client on your own device. Add client families and their members, then each policy as it is printed on the policy document: the insurer, the plan, the policy number, the sum assured, the mode and premium, the date of commencement, the premium-paying and policy terms, and the maturity and survival-benefit dates and amounts. The register works out every premium due date from the commencement date and the mode, and lists the premiums falling due each month, with your own commission rate for planning.

Mark a premium paid and the policy’s first unpaid premium moves to the next due date; policies with premiums still unpaid show as overdue. The maturities list shows the maturity and survival-benefit dates coming up, a family summary puts a family’s policies on one page — only the facts you entered, with no projections and no advice — and a WhatsApp or SMS reminder tells one client at a time that a premium is due. In the free preview, due lists, payout calendars and family summaries show as marked page images; a Premium pass unlocks their PDFs, printing and the calendar file.

    How to use it

    1. Open Settings: your name, agency code and phone, your usual commission rate (for your own planning) and the wording of the premium reminder.
    2. Press New family: the family’s name and phone, and its members. Then Add policy from the family page and type the details from the policy document.
    3. If a premium is behind, type the first unpaid premium (FUP) from the insurer’s last receipt; otherwise every premium before today is taken as paid.
    4. Open Premiums due for the month: who pays what and when, overdue ones first, with your commission estimate. Press Paid when a client pays, or send a reminder. The due list PDF and printing unlock with a pass.
    5. Open Maturities for the coming payouts, and a family’s Summary to hand it its policies on one page. Back up regularly under Data & backup; CSV files always download, also without a pass.

    Common uses

    • Life insurance agents who keep a notebook of clients’ due dates and want each month’s list ready.
    • Agents who need a calendar of their clients’ maturities and survival benefits.
    • Families’ advisers who hand a client all of the family’s policies on one page.
    • Agents in any country with yearly, half-yearly, quarterly or monthly premiums.

How the due dates are worked out

    • The first premium is due on the date of commencement; then one every 12, 6, 3 or 1 month for yearly, half-yearly, quarterly and monthly policies, during the premium-paying term. A single-premium policy has one premium.
    • A due date keeps the commencement’s day of the month, or falls on the month’s last day when the month is shorter.
    • With a first unpaid premium (FUP, as on the insurer’s last premium receipt) the register knows which premiums are still unpaid and lists them as overdue; without one, every premium before today is taken as paid.
    • Paid records the premium against its due date and moves the first unpaid premium to the next one still unpaid; a lapsed policy shows as in force again once no premium is overdue.
    • Insurers can set due dates in their own way (for example after a change of mode). The insurer’s notice and receipts decide; correct the first unpaid premium from them when they differ.

Amounts as printed, and nothing more

Every amount in the register is one you typed from a policy document: sum assured, premium, maturity and survival-benefit amounts. The register has no premium tables, no bonus rates and no benefit illustrations; it compares nothing and recommends nothing. The family summary says so on the page: it is prepared by you from the policy documents, is not a document of any insurer, and is not a projection or advice. Check your insurer’s rules for material you hand to clients before you use it. The register is not affiliated with any insurer and does not connect to any insurer’s portal.

    Commission for your own planning

Type your usual commission rate under Settings, or a rate per policy. The due list multiplies each premium by that rate as your estimate: the insurer’s commission statement decides what you are actually paid. Leave the rate empty and the commission columns stay off the PDF.

Your clients’ data stays on this device

The register is kept in this browser’s storage (IndexedDB) on this device and is never uploaded. With a passcode, every record is stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a key only your passcode opens (PBKDF2-SHA-256 with 600,000 iterations, the OWASP Password Storage Cheat Sheet figure). The encrypted backup moves it to another device; a lost passcode or passphrase cannot be recovered by anyone.

    Limitations

    • One device: the register does not sync. Move it with the encrypted backup.
    • No premium tables, quotes, bonus rates or benefit illustrations; every figure is as you typed it from the policy.
    • No connection to any insurer: policy details are typed, not downloaded, and payments are marked by you.
    • Reminders are never sent automatically or to many clients at once: each is a WhatsApp or SMS link that you open and send.
    • Commission is your own estimate from the rate you type.

    Privacy

Clients’ names, members, phone numbers and policy details stay in this browser on your device (IndexedDB), encrypted when you set a passcode. Due lists and summaries are made on the device; backups are encrypted on the device. Nothing is uploaded.

    Frequently asked questions

What do I get without a pass?

Without a pass, Insurance Agent’s Policy Register & Renewal Planner (on-device) shows the whole register on this device, with due lists, payout calendars and family summaries as marked page images; calendar files unlock with a pass. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded, printed or shared. A Premium pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.

Does it calculate premiums, bonuses or maturity values?

No. It has no premium tables and makes no projections. Type the premium, the sum assured and the maturity and survival-benefit amounts as printed in the policy; the register only works out the due dates and adds up what you typed.

Is it connected to LIC or another insurer?

No. The register is not affiliated with any insurer and never contacts an insurer’s website or portal. Everything in it is what you typed.

What is the first unpaid premium (FUP)?

The due date of the next premium the client has not paid yet, as printed on the insurer’s premium receipts. Type it when a client is behind; the register then lists every unpaid premium from that date as overdue, and moves it on each time you mark a premium paid.

Can it remind all my clients at once?

No, on purpose. Each reminder opens WhatsApp or your SMS app with the message for one client, and you read it and press Send yourself.

How do I get the due dates into my calendar?

With a Premium pass, download the calendar file (.ics) from the Premiums due tab or a family’s page: each premium in the next 12 months and each maturity or survival benefit in the next five years is an all-day event with a reminder (9 am two days before a premium, a week before a payout), and importing a newer file updates the same events.
