About the PDF Flipbook Maker (page-flip HTML viewer for catalogues)

Choose a PDF — a product catalogue, a brochure, a restaurant menu, a school magazine — and get a flipbook whose pages turn like paper: drag a corner or tap the arrows, with a soft page sound, a zoom for fine print, a table of contents from the PDF’s bookmarks, search across every page and the PDF’s own links still working. On phones it shows one page at a time.

The flipbook is yours to keep: download it as one HTML file that opens offline in any browser and can be shared like any file, or as a ZIP to upload to your own website or any static web host. MySmartCoPilot hosts nothing, so there is no account, no monthly fee and no link that stops working. The PDF is drawn into pictures on your device; it is never uploaded.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF or drop it on the box (or try the sample catalogue).
  2. Give the flipbook a title, pick the pages to include and the picture quality, and choose colours and an optional logo with a link to your website.
  3. Press Build flipbook. The pages are drawn one by one on your device; a 40-page catalogue takes well under a minute on a laptop.
  4. Try the preview: turn pages with the arrows, by dragging a page or with the ← → keys; switch the preview to Phone to see the one-page layout.
  5. Check the contents list — it comes from the PDF’s bookmarks; edit it in the box, one entry per line (“Price list … 4”).
  6. Download One HTML file to share it directly, or the ZIP for a website and upload its folder to your host; then share the address of index.html.

Examples

A 24-page product catalogue
Input
catalogue.pdf (24 pages, bookmarks for 5 sections, links to the online shop)
Result
A flipbook with the cover alone on the right, then 11 spreads and the back cover; a 5-entry contents list, working shop links and search. As one HTML file it is a few megabytes (photos make it bigger); the ZIP loads its pages one at a time.
A restaurant menu for a website
Input
menu.pdf (4 pages), logo.png, link to the restaurant’s home page
Result
A ZIP with index.html and four page pictures; uploaded to the site as /menu/, the menu opens at example.com/menu/ and jumps straight to a page with #p=3.

Common uses

  • Shops and distributors sharing a product catalogue that customers leaf through on their phones.
  • Restaurants putting a menu on their website or behind a QR code.
  • Schools, clubs and societies publishing a magazine, newsletter or yearbook.
  • Estate agents, hotels and event organisers sending brochures that look like print.
  • Designers delivering a portfolio or lookbook as a single file that opens offline.

What is in the export

  • One HTML file: the viewer, the page pictures (inside the file as data URLs) and the page text. It opens offline by double-clicking, and can be sent by e-mail or chat or uploaded as a single file. Best for up to about 60 pages.
  • ZIP for a website: index.html, a pages/ folder with one JPEG per page, your logo, and the PDF when readers may download it. Upload the whole folder; pictures load as readers reach them, so big catalogues start fast.
  • Both versions are plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with nothing loaded from other websites — no tracking, no fonts or libraries from a CDN — so they work behind any web host, intranet or kiosk.

Reading features

  • Page turns by arrow buttons, keys (← → Home End), swiping or dragging the page corner, with a page-turn sound that readers can switch off.
  • Contents from the PDF’s bookmarks (two levels), editable before export; All pages shows thumbnails; Search finds words in the text of every page (when the PDF has real text, not a scan).
  • Links inside the PDF keep working: web and e-mail links open in a new tab, links to other pages turn to that page.
  • Zoom doubles the page size for small print; Full screen where the browser allows it; the address ends in #p=7 so a link can open a page directly.
  • The text of the pages on screen is also given to screen readers, and readers without JavaScript see the pages as a scrolling list.

Choosing the picture quality

  • Compact (about 1 000 px on the long edge) keeps files small for phones and WhatsApp-sized shares.
  • Standard (about 1 600 px) is sharp on laptops and most tablets.
  • High (about 2 400 px) stays sharp when zoomed, for catalogues with small print; files are roughly twice as big as Standard.

Pages are saved as JPEG pictures, so the flipbook always looks exactly like the PDF, fonts included.

Limitations

  • Pages become pictures: text in the flipbook can be searched but not selected or copied, and very small print needs the zoom.
  • Up to 400 pages and PDFs up to 300 MB; long books take a while to draw on phones — choose fewer pages or Compact quality there.
  • Videos, sound, forms and JavaScript inside the PDF are not carried over; only web, e-mail and page links are.
  • Search needs real text in the PDF: scanned pages have none (run them through PDF OCR first).
  • Some browsers block full screen inside other pages (for example when the flipbook is embedded in an iframe without permission).

Frequently asked questions

Where is my flipbook hosted?

Nowhere on our side — you download it. Open the HTML file on any device, or upload the ZIP’s folder to your own website or a static web host (GitHub Pages, Netlify and similar), and share that address. Because it is your file, it never expires and has no monthly fee.

Can I put the flipbook on my existing website?

Yes. Unzip the ZIP into a folder of your site (for example /catalogue/) and link to /catalogue/index.html, or embed it with an iframe. It needs no server code, database or plugin.

Do the links in my PDF still work?

Yes, web and e-mail links open in a new tab and links to other pages turn the book to that page. Tick “Keep the PDF’s links” (it is on by default).

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The pages are drawn into pictures by your browser on your device, and the files are put together there too. Nothing is sent to MySmartCoPilot.

Why is my flipbook file so big?

Each page is a picture. Choose Compact quality, include fewer pages, or use the ZIP: its pictures load one by one as readers turn pages, so the size matters much less.

Can readers download the original PDF?

Only if you tick “Let readers download the PDF”: the PDF is then added to the export and a download button appears in the flipbook’s toolbar.
