About the PDF Page Extractor
The page extractor works on the pages of one PDF. Extract copies the pages you choose into a new file, Delete removes pages, Reorder changes their order and Rotate turns pages that were scanned sideways or upside down. Choose pages by clicking their thumbnails, or type them as ranges such as 1-3, 8, 10-, which is quicker for long documents.
Pages are copied exactly as they are — nothing is re-compressed — and page numbers always refer to the original document, so you never have to work out how numbering shifts after a deletion. When you only rotate pages, everything else in the original file is kept, including form fields, accessibility tags and attachments.
How to use it
- Choose a PDF or drag it onto the box. Page thumbnails appear below.
- Pick what to do: Extract, Delete, Reorder or Rotate.
- Click thumbnails to select pages, or type them (for example
1-3, 8, 10-). To reorder, drag the thumbnails (on a touch screen, by their ⠿ handle), use their arrow buttons, or type the new order such as3, 1, 2, 4-. - Rotate any page with its ↺ ↻ buttons, or rotate a list of pages at once in Rotate mode.
- Check the result line, then press the button to save the new PDF.
Examples
Extract: 1-2, 7, 12-
A new PDF with pages 1, 2, 7 and 12 to the end
Delete: 4, 9-10
All other pages, in their original order
Reorder: 11-12, 1-10
Pages 11 and 12 move to the front
A reversed range such as 12-1 reverses the whole document.
Common uses
- Sending only the relevant pages of a long contract, statement or report.
- Removing blank pages, cover sheets or separator pages left by a scanner.
- Fixing sideways or upside-down scanned pages before printing or sharing.
- Moving a signed page or an annexure to the right place in a document.
Typing page numbers
Separate items with commas: 5 is a single page, 1-3 a range, 8- page 8 to the end and -4 the first four pages. odd, even, last and all also work. In Extract and Reorder, pages are taken in the order you type them, and a page can appear more than once. In Delete, order doesn’t matter.
Numbers are positions in the file — the first page is 1 — which can differ from the page numbers printed on the pages.
What is kept
Rotating only rewrites the original file with nothing changed but the page rotation.
Extracting, deleting and reordering build a new PDF from the pages you chose. Text, images and page sizes stay exactly as they were. Bookmarks and links that point at kept pages still work; those pointing at removed pages are dropped instead of leading nowhere. Form fields on the kept pages stay fillable, and the title, author and other properties are copied. Accessibility tags, file attachments and page labels are not carried over.
Limitations
- Password-protected or encrypted PDFs can’t be edited. Remove the protection first with Unlock PDF (it asks for the password when one is needed; restrictions need the owner password), then edit the unlocked copy.
- Thumbnails are shown for up to 2,000 pages, and not for files over 120 MB; type the page numbers instead.
- A digital signature covers the exact bytes of the signed file, and every result here is a newly written file — so a signature doesn’t stay valid after extracting, deleting, reordering or rotating pages.

Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Thumbnails are drawn and the new PDF is written by your browser on your own device. The file is never sent to MySmartCoPilot or anyone else.
Do page numbers change after I delete a page?
Not here. Every page number you type or see refers to the original document, so Delete: 2, 5 removes the original pages 2 and 5 — you don’t need to adjust for pages that come out earlier.
Will rotating a page reduce its quality?
No. Rotation only changes how the page is displayed and printed (the PDF’s page rotation setting); the content itself isn’t redrawn or re-compressed.
Can I extract the same page twice?
Yes. In Extract or Reorder mode, list a page more than once (for example 1, 1, 2) and it appears in the new file that many times.
How is this different from Split PDF?
This tool creates one new PDF from the pages you pick. Split PDF creates several files at once — for example one per page or one per range.
