Shop details for order slips

Remembered in this browser only, for the order slips. Customers’ photos are never stored: they stay in this tab until you close it.

Customers

Add a customer for each person: their document, photo and (for exam forms) signature. Up to 30 in one session.

Print sheets and the whole order

Faces are measured and backgrounds cleaned on this computer — nothing is uploaded and MySmartCoPilot stores nothing. The checks are guidance only: the passport office, embassy or exam body decides whether a photo is accepted.

About the Passport & Exam Photo Studio (Batch for Studios and Cyber Cafés)

A workspace for photo studios, cyber cafés and form-filling shops that make photos for many customers in a day. Add each customer, choose the document — passport and visa photos (Indian OCI and e-Visa, US 2 × 2 in, Schengen and other 35 × 45 mm forms, UK, Canada and Australia rules) or exam and application forms (IBPS, SBI, UPSC, NTA, GATE, SSC, PAN, Kerala PSC and others) — and add their photo. The face is found and the photo framed to the document’s head size and eye line; you can nudge it, level the eyes and, where the rules accept edited photos, clean the background to white.

Each photo gets framing checks — head size, space above the head, eye line, centring, tilt, resolution — plus background evenness and exposure. Exam forms also get the signature cleaned and sized. Then place different customers’ photos on one 4 × 6 in, A4 or Letter sheet with cut lines, download a ZIP per customer with the upload files at the exact pixels and KB, and print order slips. Everything runs on the shop’s computer: customers’ photos are never uploaded and MySmartCoPilot stores nothing.

    How to use it

    1. Optionally fill in Shop details (name, address or phone) for the order slips.
    2. Select Add a customer, type the name and phone or reference, and choose the Document. Its rules, sizes and official source are shown.
    3. Select Add the photo. The face is found (the first time, the face detector downloads once) and the photo is framed. Drag, zoom or use the arrows to adjust; tick White background where the rules allow edits.
    4. Read the checks. For exam forms, add the signature photo too (and the name and date where the form asks for them on the photo).
    5. Set Prints on the sheet for customers who want prints, then use Make the print sheet; download Files for this customer or Everyone’s files, and the order slips.

    Common uses

    • Photo studios making passport and visa photos for walk-in customers.
    • Cyber cafés filling exam and job applications with photo and signature uploads.
    • Printing several customers’ photos on one 4 × 6 in print to save paper.
    • Handing customers an order slip with their files and prints listed.

    Where the rules come from

The passport and visa documents are the presets of the Passport & Visa Photo Maker, each with its official source (Passport Seva’s OCI specification, Indian Visa Online, the U.S. Department of State, the European Commission and ICAO, GOV.UK, the Government of Canada and the Australian Passport Office). The exam and application forms use the rules of the Photo & Signature Resizer, read from each notification. Each document links its official page — rules change, so check it for a new notification.

Some documents rule out a photo made this way: the UK asks for unaltered photos not cut from a larger picture, and Canada for photos taken by a commercial photographer. For those, the studio shows the framing check only and makes no files. Where a document forbids edited photos, the white background is not offered.

What the checks look at — and what they do not

    • Framing: head height (chin to the top of the head, or the crown for ICAO rules) against the document’s range, space above the head, the eye line where the rules give one, the face centred, the head level, and enough resolution for the output size.
    • Light: whether the original background is plain and light, and whether the face is too dark, too bright or has blown-out areas.
    • Not checked: expression, eyes open, glasses, head covering or who the person is — the studio frames and crops only. The authority decides whether a photo is accepted.

    File sizes that portals accept

Digital files are made at the exact pixel size the document asks for, at the best JPEG quality inside its KB range. Portals count a KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes, so where the range allows the file is kept inside both readings; a file that would be too small is padded with an invisible comment. Print sheets are 300 DPI JPEGs (4 × 6 in) or PDFs at the paper’s real size (A4, Letter): print them at 100%, not “Fit to page”.

    Limitations

    • Up to 30 customers in one session; nothing is saved when the tab is closed, so download the files first.
    • Photos are analysed at up to 2 megapixels — plenty for passport and exam sizes.
    • The face detector needs a clear, front-facing face; very dark, blurred or turned faces may not be found.
    • Background cleaning can miss strands of hair or keep some background: check the preview, or use a plain wall.
    • Checks are guidance only, not an approval: rules change and the authority decides.

    Privacy

Everything happens in your browser. What you enter or open here is not uploaded or stored by MySmartCoPilot. The first photo downloads the face detector (about 16 MB) from this site, and a white background the portrait model (about 27 MB); customers’ photos are never uploaded.

    Frequently asked questions

Are customers’ photos uploaded or stored?

No. Faces are measured, backgrounds cleaned and files made in this browser on the shop’s computer. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is kept after the tab is closed. Only the shop details are remembered, in this browser.

Can I print different customers on one sheet?

Yes. Set Prints on the sheet for each customer, choose the paper (4 × 6 in, A4 or US Letter) and select Make the print sheet. Photos of different sizes are placed in rows with dashed cut lines; more sheets are added when needed.

Does it guarantee the photo will be accepted?

No. The checks compare the framing, background and exposure with the document’s published rules, but the passport office, embassy or exam body decides. Always check their current rules.

Why are files switched off for UK and Canadian passports?

Their official rules rule out photos made like this (cut from a larger picture or edited, or not taken by a commercial photographer). The studio still shows the framing check so you can see how a photo measures up.

    How do exam signatures work?

Add a photo of the signature on white paper: the paper is evened out to white, the ink deepened, the signature cropped and the file sized to the form’s pixels and KB range.
