About the Add Name and Date on Photo
Some applications want your name and the date the photo was taken printed on the photo itself. Kerala PSC’s One Time Registration is one: a 150 × 200 pixel JPG of at most 30 KB with both at the bottom. Add your photo, type your name and the date, and the tool prints them in a white strip under the photo, makes the exact pixel size and keeps the file inside the size limit at the best JPG quality that fits.
Choose Kerala PSC, Passport size (3.5 × 4.5 cm at 300 DPI), Same size as my photo or My own size with a KB range. It is the same engine as the Photo & Signature Resizer, and everything happens in your browser: the photo is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Add a passport-style photo: a recent photo of your face and shoulders against a plain light background.
- Type your name and the date the photo was taken (DD/MM/YYYY). Today’s date is filled in.
- Choose the size the form asks for, and Crop to fill or Whole photo.
- Check the result — pixels, KB and the printed lines — then Download JPG, with a pass or after unlocking this result.
Examples
Phone photo · name “ASHA K” · date 04/10/2026 · Kerala PSC
A 150 × 200 px JPG of at most 30,000 bytes, with ASHA K and 04/10/2026 printed at the bottom.
Photo · Passport size
A 413 × 531 px JPG with 300 DPI written in it, so it prints at 3.5 × 4.5 cm.
For a sheet of copies to print, use the Photo & Signature Resizer, which makes an A4 print sheet.
What Kerala PSC asks for
- A photo of 150 × 200 pixels (width × height), JPG, at most 30 KB.
- Your name and the date the photo was taken printed at the bottom.
- Face and shoulders clearly visible, facing the camera, against a white or light background; no cap (religious headwear is allowed) and no goggles.
- The photo stays valid for 10 years from the day you upload it.
From the Kerala PSC photo instructions and Kerala PSC tips to applicants; check the notification you are applying to as well. The Photo & Signature Resizer makes the Kerala PSC signature too.
How the name and date are printed
The bottom of the picture becomes a white strip, about a fifth of its height, with your name on the first line and the date on the second, centred in black. Long names are set in a smaller size until they fit the width. The photo fills the space above the strip: Crop to fill trims the edges to fit that space exactly, Whole photo shows all of it, with white around it where the shapes differ.
The lines use your device’s own fonts, so names in Malayalam, Hindi and other scripts print as your device shows them.
File size
The JPG is saved at the highest quality whose file fits the form’s limit: at most the maximum × 1,000 bytes, and at least the minimum × 1,024 bytes when a form has one, so it passes whichever way the form counts a kilobyte. If a small photo comes out below a minimum, Pad to the smallest size adds invisible bytes inside the file; the picture stays the same. JPGs are written with MozJPEG, an encoder built for small files.
How this compares
- Runs on your device: the photo is never uploaded.
- See it before you pay: the free preview shows your own photo with the name and date, under a MySmartCoPilot watermark. The JPG you download with a pass, or after unlocking it, carries only your name and date.
- You don’t need an account: no sign-up, no email address and nothing to install.
Limitations
- The date is printed as you type it (DD/MM/YYYY), and it cannot be in the future.
- The tool does not change your face or the background: take the photo against a plain light wall.
- Only the form decides whether it accepts a photo; follow the rest of its instructions too.
Privacy
Your photo stays in your browser and is never uploaded. Only your name is remembered on this device, to fill it in next time.
Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Add Name and Date on Photo shows your photo with the name and date at up to half size, with a MySmartCoPilot watermark across it, and its pixel and KB checks in full. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
How do I add my name and date to a photo for Kerala PSC?
Choose Kerala PSC, add the photo and type your name and the date it was taken. The JPG is 150 × 200 pixels, at most 30 KB, with the name and date printed at the bottom, as Kerala PSC’s instructions ask; you download it with a pass, or after unlocking that one photo.
Which date should I use?
The date the photo was taken. Kerala PSC asks for that date on the photo, and the date cannot be later than today.
Can I print the name in Malayalam or Hindi?
Yes, if your device has a font for that script (phones and computers usually do). Check the preview before you download.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The photo is drawn and saved in your browser, and the page keeps working offline once it has loaded.
