For people in India who invest through a demat account or mutual funds: monthly SIP investors, IPO applicants, delivery and intraday traders, futures and options traders who need their turnover for tax, and holders of Sovereign Gold Bonds. Every tool works on figures you enter or a statement you open, and none of them connects to a broker.
How to choose
Pick the tool for the decision in front of you:
Investing every month: SIP Calculator for what a SIP or a lump sum might grow to, and Mutual Fund CAS Analyzer for what your funds have actually returned.
Applying for an IPO: IPO Allotment Chance Calculator.
Buying and selling shares: India Brokerage & Charges Calculator for every charge on a trade, and India MTF Calculator when the purchase is funded by your broker.
Futures and options: F&O Margin Calculator before a position, and F&O and Intraday Turnover & Tax P&L Calculator when the year’s trades go into a return.
A return in a projection is the rate you type in, never a forecast, and none of the tools says what to buy or sell.

Worked example: ₹10,000 a month for 10 years at an assumed 12 % a year
An investor puts ₹10,000 into a SIP every month for 10 years and assumes an effective return of 12 % a year.
120 instalments of ₹10,000 put in ₹12,00,000.
A 12 % yearly return compounds at about 0.949 % a month, applied to each instalment for the months it stays invested.
The estimated value at the end is ₹22,40,359.
That makes an estimated gain of ₹10,40,359 on ₹12,00,000 invested, which holds only if the assumed return is earned in every one of the 10 years.
Questions
Is the value the SIP calculator shows a forecast?
No. It compounds the yearly return you enter, so the result is only as good as that assumption; fund values rise and fall, and past returns do not promise future ones.
Why does selling an option block so much more margin than buying one?
A buyer pays only the premium, while a seller’s possible loss has no fixed limit, so SPAN and exposure margin are blocked; a bought option in the same position can lower that through the hedge benefit.
Can an F&O loss reduce the tax on my salary?
No. F&O trading is business income, and its loss can be set off against other income except salary and then carried forward. The turnover calculator shows the set-off and the amount carried forward.
Do these tools place trades or give stock tips?
No. They calculate on what you enter and connect to no broker. What to buy or sell stays your decision; for advice, ask an investment adviser registered with SEBI.
