About the Profile Picture Maker
Crop your photos in a circle: position, zoom and rotate the picture, put a solid or gradient background behind transparent parts and add a ring. Check it at 24, 48 and 98 pixels, as it appears beside posts and comments, at the square size you choose. Every listed platform can be chosen; only sizes stated in official guidance are filled in for you.
The free preview shows your own result, marked or shortened. A Premium pass opens the complete result and every output in the batch.
How to use it
- Choose local photos and a platform context, or keep Custom circle output. Enter your intended square output size.
- Position the crop, zoom from 1 to 8 and rotate from −180° to 180°. Choose the background and an optional ring.
- Press Make profile pictures and check the 24, 48 and 98-pixel previews. PNG and WebP keep transparent outer corners; JPG fills the square background.
- With a Premium pass, download the current image or batch ZIP. For platforms without established upload dimensions, match your chosen size to their current guidance.
Examples
400-pixel square, PNG, ring width 5%.
A 400 × 400 file with a circular composition, visible ring and transparent outer corners.
Sources and output limits
YouTube channel branding describes 98 × 98 rendered profile pixels, not an ideal upload size. LinkedIn photo requirements state a 400 × 400 minimum. Other named contexts keep your chosen custom pixel size.
Limitations
- LinkedIn’s 400 × 400 value is a documented minimum; YouTube’s 98 × 98 value is a rendered dimension, not an ideal upload recommendation. Other platforms keep the custom size you choose. PNG/WebP retain transparent circle corners; JPEG is an opaque square containing the circle.
- One run takes up to 256 MB of photos and makes images of up to 16 megapixels each, so the browser keeps working. Photos must be in a format the browser can open (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or AVIF); animated images use only their first frame.

Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Profile Picture Maker shows the first profile pictures (up to three), watermarked at preview size; full-size images and exports open with a pass. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
Are the offered platform dimensions ideal upload recommendations?
LinkedIn’s 400 × 400 value is a documented minimum. YouTube’s 98 × 98 value describes rendered display size. Neither guarantees an ideal upload size; choose a larger custom output when appropriate.
Why do some platforms keep my custom pixel size?
A current recommended upload dimension was not established for those platforms. The tool preserves your chosen size rather than inventing a recommendation.
Why does JPG have opaque corners?
JPG cannot contain transparency. PNG and WebP preserve the area outside the circle as transparent; JPG uses the selected background there.
