It is encrypted in this browser. Type its passcode to open it on this device.
Forgot the passcode?
Nobody can open the register without it — not this site either, because the passcode never leaves this device. If you have an encrypted backup, delete this copy and restore the backup with its own passphrase. Otherwise you can only delete it and start again.

Collected is what the farmers poured (accepted milk); sent is what you recorded here. A minus difference is milk or fat short — from spilt milk, sampling or a reading that differs. Type the buyer’s own figures on a dispatch to compare with them too.
Rate charts
Make a chart with every option in the Milk Rate Chart Maker and open its chart file here, import a table from CSV or Excel, or start a simple one with New chart. A chart can have new rates from a date: pours before that date keep the rate they were paid.

Privacy notice for farmers (India)
A template for the notice the Digital Personal Data Protection Act asks a centre to give its farmers, filled in from these settings. It is a starting point, not legal advice: have a lawyer review it.
Where your register is kept
In this browser on this device only (IndexedDB). It is not uploaded or copied anywhere, so clearing this browser’s site data deletes it: download an encrypted backup regularly and keep it somewhere safe.
Encrypted backup
One file with the whole register, encrypted on this device with a passphrase you choose (AES-256). Keep the file somewhere safe and the passphrase too: without it the file cannot be opened. Backups always download, also without a pass.
Restore a backup
Restoring replaces the register on this device with the one in the file. A passcode set on this device stays.
Passcode lock
Export
Your register is yours: these files always download, also without a pass. CSV files open in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice; the JSON file is the whole register, not encrypted.
Import
Bring farmer records in from a spreadsheet saved as CSV: the first row names the columns (download a template to see which). Rows with a problem are listed and left out. A JSON file exported from this register adds its records to this one.
Delete the register
Removes every farmer record and the passcode from this browser. Download a backup first if you may need them.

About the Milk Collection Register & Dairy Billing (FAT/SNF, cycle bills)
A register for a village milk collection centre, a dairy cooperative society or a small dairy that runs in your browser and keeps everything on your own device. Keep your farmers — code, name, village, milk and UPI ID — and your rate charts (made in the Milk Rate Chart Maker, imported from CSV or Excel, or typed here), with new rates from a date. At the counter, type a farmer’s code, the quantity, the FAT and the SNF or CLR, and the pour gets its rate from the chart, the amount and a numbered slip for a 58 or 80 mm roll with a QR code the farmer can keep in the Milk Passbook. A typed rate needs a reason, and milk that is not accepted is kept with no amount.
Every billing cycle — 10 days, 15 days, a week, a month or your own — gives each farmer a bill: the milk, bonuses and price differences, less cattle feed and products sold to them, advances, loan instalments and payments, with the previous balance carried on. Dispatch records the milk sent to the union with a reconciliation of litres and kg of fat collected against sent. In the free preview, slips, bills, passbooks and reports show as marked page images; a Premium pass gives the clean documents.
How to use it
- Open Settings: your centre’s name and code, whether milk is measured in litres or kg, the readings you take (FAT with SNF, CLR or both) and the billing cycle.
- Add your farmers (one by one, or import a spreadsheet under Data & backup) and your rate charts under Charts, then say which chart pays cow, buffalo and mixed milk.
- At each shift, type the farmer’s code, the quantity, FAT and SNF (or CLR) and press Enter: the rate and amount appear and the pour is saved with its slip. Without a pass the slip stays a free preview; with a Premium pass it prints through the print dialog or straight to a slip printer.
- Record cattle feed and products sold, advances, loans and payments on a farmer’s page; record the milk sent to the union under Dispatch.
- At the end of a cycle, open Bills: every farmer’s bill and the payment sheet (marked page images in the free preview), payments by cash, UPI or bank, and Close the cycle to lock it.
Examples
10 L of cow milk, 4.0% FAT, 8.5% SNF; ₹400 a kg fat and ₹260 a kg SNF, rates per litre at 1.03 kg a litre
(0.040 × 400 + 0.085 × 260) × 1.03 = ₹39.24 a litre; ₹392.40 for the pour (10.3 kg, 0.412 kg fat)
Previous balance ₹100.00; milk ₹615.90; bonus ₹50.00; cattle feed ₹135.00; loan instalment ₹300.00; ₹200.00 paid during the cycle
100.00 + 615.90 + 50.00 − 135.00 − 300.00 − 200.00 = ₹130.90 net payable, ₹131 to the rupee
Collected 15.45 kg with 0.670 kg of fat; sent 15.3 kg at 4.3% FAT
0.15 kg (0.97%) and 0.012 kg of fat short
₹10 a kg of fat for the milk of 1–10 October; a farmer poured 0.67 kg of fat
₹6.70 added to that farmer’s account
Common uses
- A village collection centre or a dairy cooperative society that tests milk with an analyser and pays farmers every ten days.
- A small private dairy buying from farmers on its own chart and selling to a union or a plant.
- A centre that sells cattle feed and gives advances, and takes them off the milk bills.
- A secretary who wants each shift’s milk and fat reconciled with what reached the chilling centre.
How a pour is priced
At a dairy cooperative society every member’s milk is tested and paid for by its fat and SNF (NDDB, the Anand pattern), from the price chart or ready reckoner the union usually gives its societies (Dairy Knowledge Portal). The register looks the pour up on the farmer’s chart — their own, or the centre’s chart for that milk — in force on the pour’s date:
- a SNF worked out from a CLR uses the chart’s own formula;
- the quantity is turned into kg (or litres) when the chart is per kg (or per litre), at your kg-a-litre figure or, if you choose, at the sample’s own CLR (1 + CLR ÷ 1,000 kg a litre);
- a blank cell or a no-price rule gives no rate: type one with a reason, or mark the milk not accepted;
- the rate on the slip is the rate paid: later changes to the chart never change a saved pour.
Cycles, bills and the farmer’s account
- A bill covers one cycle: the balance before it, plus the milk and any bonus or price difference, less what was sold to the farmer, advances, loan instalments, other deductions and the payments made during the cycle. A minus net payable is what the farmer owes the centre, carried to the next bill.
- Loans are taken off in instalments, one a cycle, until repaid. Bonuses and price differences are added per kg of fat or per litre (or kg) for a period you choose.
- Close the cycle once its bills are paid: its pours and entries lock and its loan instalments are written into the accounts; reopen it to change anything.
- A farmer’s passbook lists every cycle with the running balance.
Slips, printers and the farmer’s passbook
- Each slip carries the slip number, date and shift, farmer, milk, quantity, FAT, SNF (and CLR), rate and amount — and a QR code. The farmer scans it into the Milk Passbook to keep their own record and check it against the chart; the slip’s details travel inside the code, so nothing is sent anywhere.
- Print dialog (any printer): the slip is drawn at the roll’s own size (58 or 80 mm wide).
- Straight to the printer (ESC/POS): in Chrome or Edge the register sends the slip to most 58 and 80 mm receipt printers that understand ESC/POS. Bluetooth reaches Bluetooth Low Energy printers only (“classic” Bluetooth printers are not reachable from a web page); on a computer, a printer on a serial port (a USB-serial printer, or a Bluetooth printer paired with the computer) works too. Picture prints every language and the QR code; Text is faster and prints English letters only. Print a test slip first.
- Slips, bills and reports can carry their headings in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Telugu or Kannada beside the English.
Milk sent and reconciliation
Record each dispatch — quantity, FAT and SNF, the rate from your sale chart or typed — and, when the union or plant sends them, their own figures. The Dispatch tab and the day report compare the accepted milk of the shift and the day with what was sent: the difference in kg and kg of fat, as a share of what was collected, and the sale value against what the farmers are paid.
Your data stays on this device
- Farmers, pours, charts and accounts are kept in this browser on this device (IndexedDB). Nothing is uploaded, and you don’t need an account.
- Set a passcode under Data & backup to keep the register encrypted (AES-256) and locked when you step away.
- Clearing the browser’s site data deletes the register: download an encrypted backup regularly (the register reminds you) and restore it on another device to move the centre there. Your own records — farmers, every pour, the accounts and the milk sent — also download as CSV, also without a pass; a cycle’s bills download as CSV and Excel with a Premium pass.
A privacy notice for farmers (India)
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 the centre is the Data Fiduciary for its farmers’ data, and section 5 asks for a notice when consent is requested: the personal data and the purpose, how to withdraw consent and use the grievance process, and how to complain to the Data Protection Board, in English or a language of the Eighth Schedule. Rule 3 of the DPDP Rules, 2025 asks for an itemised description of the data in clear and plain language that stands on its own. The template under Settings → Privacy notice for farmers is filled in with your centre and contact; rule 14(3) sets at most 90 days for answering grievances. It is a starting point, not legal advice: have a lawyer review it.
Limitations
- One device: the register does not sync between devices. Two tabs on the same device share it safely; to move to another device, restore a backup there.
- Readings are typed: the register does not read milk analysers or electronic weighing scales.
- Screens are in English; printed slips, bills and reports can add headings in six Indian languages.
- Direct printing needs Chrome or Edge and a printer that understands ESC/POS; others print through the print dialog.
- Messages to farmers open WhatsApp or your SMS app one farmer at a time, with the text ready for you to send; nothing is sent in bulk. A message with a slip’s or a bill’s figures is part of the result: in the free preview it is locked like the slip and the bill.
Privacy
Farmers, pours, charts and accounts are kept in this browser on this device and never uploaded. Slips and bills go only to the printer you choose, and messages are sent from your own phone.
Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Milk Collection Register & Dairy Billing (FAT/SNF, cycle bills) shows the whole register on this device, with slips, bills, passbooks and reports as page images marked “MySmartCoPilot preview · not for use”. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded, copied, printed or shared. A Premium pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, once the page has been opened with a connection: the register, the charts and every pour are on this device. The PDF engine, its fonts and the spreadsheet reader download the first time they are used.
Can I import my farmers and my union’s chart from Excel?
Yes. Farmers import from a CSV file under Data & backup (download the template to see the columns). Charts import under Charts from a chart file of the Milk Rate Chart Maker, or from a CSV or Excel grid with FAT down the first column and SNF or CLR along the first row.
What happens when the union changes its rates?
Add the new rates to the chart from the date they start (Charts → New rates from a date). Pours from that date get the new rates; earlier pours keep the rates they were paid.
How are cattle feed, advances and loans taken off?
Record a sale or an advance on the farmer’s page with its date: it comes off the bill of the cycle that date falls in. A loan has an instalment that comes off every cycle’s bill until it is repaid.
Which slip printers work?
Any printer through the print dialog, at the roll’s own size. Straight printing works in Chrome or Edge with 58 and 80 mm printers that understand ESC/POS, over Bluetooth Low Energy or, on a computer, a serial port (a USB-serial printer or a paired Bluetooth printer); print a test slip from Settings first.
Can the farmer check my slip?
Yes. The QR code on the slip opens the Milk Passbook on the farmer’s phone, which keeps the slip and can check its rate against your published chart and add up a cycle to compare with your bill.
