Forgot the passcode?
Nobody can open the register without it — not this site either, because the passcode never leaves this device. If you have an encrypted backup, delete this copy and restore the backup with its own passphrase. Otherwise you can only delete it and start again.

A template for the notice the Digital Personal Data Protection Act asks for, filled in from these settings. It is a starting point, not legal advice: have a lawyer review it.
Where your register is kept
In this browser on this device only (IndexedDB). It is not uploaded or copied anywhere, so clearing this browser’s site data deletes it: download an encrypted backup regularly and keep it somewhere safe.
Encrypted backup
One file with the whole register, encrypted on this device with a passphrase you choose (AES-256). Keep the file somewhere safe and the passphrase too: without it the file cannot be opened. Backups always download, also without a pass.
Restore a backup
Restoring replaces the register on this device with the one in the file. A passcode set on this device stays.
Passcode lock
Export
Your register is yours: these files always download, also without a pass. CSV files open in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice; the JSON file is the whole register, not encrypted.
Import
Bring customer records in from a spreadsheet saved as CSV: the first row names the columns (download a template to see which). Rows with a problem are listed and left out. A JSON file exported from this register adds its records to this one.
Delete the register
Removes every customer record and the passcode from this browser. Download a backup first if you may need them.

About the Milk Delivery Khata (doodhwala hisab and monthly bills)
A khata for a milkman, a dairy or a shop that delivers milk to homes, tea stalls and hotels, which runs in your browser and keeps everything on your own device. Add your products — cow and buffalo milk, curd, paneer, ghee — with their rates, and your customers with what each takes every morning and evening, their route and place on it, and their own rate if they pay a different one. Every day counts as delivered unless you mark a skip or a change (guests, an extra packet of curd); the round lists who gets what, and the totals tell you how much to load.
At the end of the month — or every 15 days or every week — each customer gets a bill: a calendar of the period with each day’s milk, the products and their amounts, the previous balance, the payments and the balance due, with a UPI QR code for that amount. Record payments, part payments included, and the dues list shows who owes what. In the free preview, bills and the dues list show as marked page images; a Premium pass gives the clean documents.
How to use it
- Open Settings: your name, phone and UPI ID, your products and their rates, your routes in the order you go, and how often you bill.
- Add your customers (one by one, or import a spreadsheet under Data & backup): what each takes in the morning and the evening, from which day, and what they owed when you started.
- Each day, open Today’s round: mark a skip or a change for anyone who took less, more or nothing; everyone else gets their usual milk. Changing a customer’s order or a product’s rate later never changes the days before.
- When someone pays, record it on their page or from the bills, with the amount, the day and how they paid; part payments are carried to the next bill.
- At the end of the period, open Bills & dues: every customer’s bill with its UPI QR code, the dues list and reminders — as marked page images in the free preview, as clean PDFs or prints on a 58 or 80 mm roll with a Premium pass.
Examples
1.5 L of cow milk a day at ₹60, 1–10 October: a skip on the 3rd, 2 L and 0.5 kg of curd at ₹90 on the 4th; ₹500 paid on the 6th
8 × 1.5 L × ₹60 = ₹720, plus ₹165 on the 4th: ₹885 for the period; ₹885 − ₹500 = ₹385 due
The same customer, with cow milk going up from ₹60 to ₹64 from the 6th
Days before the 6th stay at ₹60 and the days from it count at ₹64: ₹915 for 1–10 October, ₹415 due
A tea stall takes 2 L of buffalo milk a day at its own ₹70 from 5 October, and owed ₹100 before
6 days × 2 L × ₹70 = ₹840; ₹100 + ₹840 = ₹940 due on 10 October
Two customers: 1 L in the morning and 0.5 L in the evening, and 2 L of buffalo milk in the morning
Cow milk 1.5 L (1 + 0.5), buffalo milk 2 L for the day
Common uses
- A milkman (doodhwala) delivering to a few dozen or a few hundred homes on fixed routes, morning and evening.
- A dairy shop that delivers milk, curd and paneer to homes, tea stalls and hotels and bills them every month.
- A dairy farmer selling milk straight to households who wants each day’s milk and every payment written down.
- A seller who wants customers to pay by UPI from the bill, with the exact amount in the QR code.
How a day is counted
- A customer’s day is their usual order — the quantities they take in the morning and the evening — unless you mark it: a skip counts nothing, and a change counts what you typed, extras included.
- Days you did not mark count as delivered (a milkman delivers every day). If you would rather mark every day yourself, choose under Settings that days you did not mark count as nothing.
- Nothing is counted before a customer’s first day or after their last, or on days to come; the round of a day to come shows what is planned.
- An order changed from a date (more milk from the 15th) and a rate changed from a date (₹64 from the 1st) count from that day only: earlier days, bills and balances stay as they were.
Bills, payments and dues
- A bill covers a month, the 1st–15th or 16th–end, or a week: the balance before it, plus that period’s milk and products, less the payments received in it. What is left is the balance due, carried to the next bill; a minus figure means the customer has paid ahead.
- Each product’s amount is quantity × rate, to the paisa; a customer with their own rate pays it.
- With a UPI ID under Settings, every bill carries a UPI QR code with the amount due — the same payment link the UPI QR Code Generator makes, with your UPI ID, the name on the account, the amount and a note. The customer scans it with any UPI app; the khata does not see the payment, so record it when the money arrives.
- The dues list shows everyone who owes money now, most first, with the day they last paid.
Printing bills and reminders
- Bills come on A5 or A4, one a page, or on a 58 or 80 mm roll. Rolls print through the print dialog at the roll’s own size, or — in Chrome or Edge — straight to most receipt printers that understand ESC/POS: Bluetooth reaches Bluetooth Low Energy printers only (“classic” Bluetooth printers are not reachable from a web page), and on a computer a printer on a serial port (a USB-serial printer, or a Bluetooth printer paired with the computer) works too. Print a test slip first.
- Headings on bills can carry Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Telugu or Kannada beside the English.
- A reminder opens WhatsApp or your SMS app with the message ready for one customer — the bill’s amounts, or what they owe and your UPI ID — and you press Send yourself. Change the wording under Settings → Messages. In the free preview a reminder is locked like the bill and the dues list it comes from.
Your data stays on this device
- Customers, deliveries and payments are kept in this browser on this device (IndexedDB). Nothing is uploaded, and you don’t need an account.
- Set a passcode under Data & backup to keep the khata encrypted (AES-256) and locked when you step away.
- Clearing the browser’s site data deletes the khata: download an encrypted backup regularly (the khata reminds you) and restore it on another device to move there. Your own records — customers, the period’s deliveries and every payment — also download as CSV, also without a pass; a period’s bills download as CSV and Excel with a Premium pass.
A privacy notice for customers (India)
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you are the Data Fiduciary for your customers’ data, and section 5 asks for a notice when consent is requested: the personal data and the purpose, how to withdraw consent and use the grievance process, and how to complain to the Data Protection Board, in English or a language of the Eighth Schedule. Rule 3 of the DPDP Rules, 2025 asks for an itemised description of the data in clear and plain language that stands on its own. The template under Settings → Privacy notice for customers is filled in with your name and contact. It is a starting point, not legal advice: have a lawyer review it.
Limitations
- One device: the khata does not sync between devices. Two tabs on the same device share it safely; to move to another device, restore a backup there.
- The khata does not see UPI payments: record each payment when the money reaches you.
- Screens are in English; bills can add headings in six Indian languages.
- Direct printing needs Chrome or Edge and a printer that understands ESC/POS; others print through the print dialog.
- Reminders open WhatsApp or your SMS app one customer at a time, with the text ready for you to send; nothing is sent in bulk. In the free preview they are locked, like the bills and the dues list.
Privacy
Customers, deliveries and payments are kept in this browser on this device and never uploaded. Bills go only to the printer you choose, and reminders are sent from your own phone.
Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Milk Delivery Khata (doodhwala hisab and monthly bills) shows the whole khata on this device, with bills and the dues list as page images marked “MySmartCoPilot preview · not for use”. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded, copied, printed or shared. A Premium pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
Do I have to mark every day?
No. Every day counts as delivered with each customer’s usual milk; mark only the skips and the changes. If you would rather mark each day yourself, change it under Settings → Bills.
What happens when my rate goes up?
Type the new rate over the old one under Settings → Products and rates, and it counts from today; or use Change a rate from a date to start it on another day. The days before keep the old rate, so earlier bills and balances do not change.
A customer paid only part of the bill. What now?
Record what they paid. The rest stays on their account as the balance due and appears as the previous balance on their next bill.
Can customers pay by UPI from the bill?
Yes, once your UPI ID is under Settings: each bill carries a QR code with the amount due, which any UPI app can scan. The payment goes straight to your account; record it in the khata when it arrives.
Can I import my customers from Excel?
Yes. Save the sheet as CSV and import it under Data & backup: one row a customer and product, with their morning and evening quantities (download the template to see the columns). With a Premium pass, the bills and deliveries of a period also download as an Excel file.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes, once the page has been opened with a connection: the khata and every day’s record are on this device. The PDF engine, its fonts and the spreadsheet engine download the first time they are used.
