What to work out

Your payout reports

In the Swiggy and Zomato partner dashboard or app, open the payouts (or invoices) of a week or a month and download the order-level report as Excel or CSV. Add every file at once — both platforms, several weeks or months. A POS export with a platform column works too.

    Your costs

    % of item total
Ingredients as a share of menu prices; your recipe costing tells.
    ₹
    ₹
Gas, consumables: costs that come with each order.
Your agreement optional: checks every order against the rates you signed

Orders from before the cut to 0.1% are checked at the 1% that applied to them.

The commission is checked on the value the report says it is charged on (else the order’s value after your discounts), the payment fee on what the customer paid. Leave a rate empty to skip its check.

About the Swiggy & Zomato Payout & Profit Analyzer

Swiggy and Zomato pay restaurants weekly, net of commission, payment fees, the GST on those fees, discounts you fund, refunds, ads, TDS and the GST they pay for you on the food — and the payout report lists all of it order by order. This tool reads the order-level payout reports you download from the Swiggy and Zomato partner dashboards (Excel or CSV, several weeks and both platforms at once, or a POS export with a platform column) and works out, for every order and every week or month, the gross sales, each deduction, the payout, the money you keep and your contribution after food cost.

It also rebuilds each payout from the report’s own columns and checks every order: payouts that do not add up, a commission or payment fee above the rates in your agreement, GST on fees that is not what it should be, TDS above 0.1%, TCS taken on orders whose GST the platform paid under section 9(5), refunds and penalties taken from you, cancelled orders that were never paid, and orders that lost money after their discount. With no file at hand, the quick estimate works out one average order from your rates.

Without a pass the result is a free preview: the payout summary in full, the count and amount of every check, the first rows of each table and the chart as a watermarked picture; every order, every check and the exports (Excel, PDF, CSV, copy) unlock with a Premium pass. Your files are read in your browser and never uploaded.

    How to use it

    1. In the Swiggy or Zomato partner dashboard or app, open the payouts (or invoices) of a week or a month and get the order-level report as an Excel or CSV file. Get the same weeks from both platforms if you sell on both.
    2. Drop every file into step 1 — several at once. Each sheet shows what it was read as: the platform, order rows or the charges of the payouts, the heading row, and how many payouts its own columns reproduce. Open Columns to check or change any column; your changes are kept for next time.
    3. In step 2 enter your food cost %, what packaging and other costs come with each order, and, under Your agreement, the commission and payment fee rates you signed, so every order is checked against them.
    4. Read the summary: gross sales, what the platforms take, what reached your bank, the money you keep and the contribution after food cost, then the checks, Swiggy beside Zomato, the weeks or months, the offers and every order.
    5. Download the full analysis as Excel, the PDF report or the orders as CSV, or copy the summary — with a Premium pass, or once this result is unlocked; the free preview shows the summary and the first rows.

    Examples

    One Zomato order, checked
    Input
Item total ₹500, packaging ₹20, ₹100 off (50% off up to ₹100); commission 22% of ₹420; payment fee ₹7.94; GST on fees ₹18.06; TDS ₹0.42; GST on food ₹21 paid by Zomato; payout ₹301.18
    Result
Payout adds up from its columns · you keep ₹301.60 with the TDS you claim · food 30% of ₹500 = ₹150, packaging ₹12 · contribution ₹139.60 (26.8% of ₹520)
A commission above the agreed rate
    Input
    Agreement: 22% · order of ₹638 + ₹20 packaging charged ₹164.50 commission
    Result
Commission above your agreement: 25% of ₹658 charged; at 22% it is ₹144.76 — ₹19.74 to raise with Zomato
    TCS on a restaurant order
    Input
Swiggy order with GST deducted under section 9(5) and ₹2.50 TCS taken
    Result
TCS on an order the platform paid GST on: TCS does not apply to such orders — ₹2.50 to ask back
Quick estimate: is the offer worth it?
    Input
    Menu ₹400 + ₹20 packaging, 10% discount, 25% commission, 2% payment fee, 18% GST on fees, 3% ads, food 30%
    Result
Payout ₹247.15 · contribution ₹107.53 an order (25.6%) · an order needs a menu value of at least ₹127.20 to keep a 20% margin

    Common uses

    • A restaurant or cloud kitchen checking each week’s Swiggy and Zomato payout before the money is spent.
    • Finding the orders to raise with partner support: overcharged commission, wrong TDS or TCS, unfair refunds, cancelled orders never paid.
    • Seeing which platform, offer and outlet actually make money after food cost.
    • An accountant reconciling a restaurant’s aggregator receivables and its TDS and TCS credits.

    What each line means

    • Gross sales: the item total at your menu prices, the packaging charged and your own delivery charges, of delivered orders.
    • Discounts you funded: promos, flat offs, freebies and brand-pack discounts the report takes from you. A membership discount (Zomato Gold, Swiggy One) counts as yours only when the payout shows it was taken from you; the platform-funded share of a discount is not your cost.
    • Commission: the service fee, a % of the value the report says it is charged on (Zomato’s commissionable value, Swiggy’s chargeable on).
    • Payment fees: Zomato’s payment mechanism fee and Swiggy’s payment collection charges.
    • Other platform fees: long-distance, express, membership, call-centre and delivery fees you sponsor, less any discount or cap on fees.
    • GST on platform fees: the tax the platform adds to its fees. Restaurant service is taxed at 5% only when no input tax credit is taken (Notification No. 46/2017–Central Tax (Rate)), so this GST is a cost.
    • Refunds, compensation and penalties: what customers’ complaints and cancellations cost you.
    • TDS and TCS: held back by the platform, but tax credits you claim, so they are added back to what you keep.
    • Money you keep: what reached your bank, plus cash you collected yourself and the TDS and TCS you claim. Contribution: that less your food cost (your % of the item total), packaging and other costs per order.

GST on the food, TCS and TDS

For food ordered through Swiggy, Zomato and other e-commerce operators, the platform pays the GST on the restaurant service, not the restaurant: section 9(5) of the CGST Act and Notification No. 17/2021–Central Tax (Rate); restaurants in hotels with a declared tariff above ₹7,500 a unit a day are outside it. So the GST collected on your orders passes through, and the tool shows it only when the payout keeps it for you to pay.

TCS under section 52 of the CGST Act is collected on the net value of taxable supplies other than those under section 9(5) — 0.5% in total (Notification No. 15/2024–Central Tax) — so a restaurant order whose GST the platform pays should carry none. TDS on e-commerce sales is 0.1% of the gross amount (section 194-O of the Income-tax Act, 1961, cut from 1% by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024: Memorandum to the Bill; section 393(1) [Table: Sl. No. 8(v)] of the Income-tax Act, 2025); it shows in Form 26AS and you claim it in your return. Orders from before that cut are checked at the 1% that applied to them.

    How each payout is rebuilt

Platforms write their reports differently: whether the payout column is before or after TDS, whether a membership discount or the GST on food is in it, whether deductions are written as minus amounts. For each sheet the tool tries each reading on the delivered orders and keeps the one that reproduces the most payouts within your rounding, says which it used, and lists the orders whose payout still does not match. A column that only totals others (Service fee & payment mechanism fees, Net deductions, Total Swiggy Fee) is read as a check and never added twice. When fewer than half of the payouts can be rebuilt, the column matches are probably wrong, and payout differences are not reported until they are fixed.

Week by week, month by month, platform by platform

Every figure is also shown for each week (Monday to Sunday, the platforms’ payout weeks), month or payout, for Swiggy beside Zomato, for each offer (so you see which ones lose money) and for each outlet or brand. Charges billed to the payouts themselves — ads, penalties, supplies bought through the platform — come from the additions and deductions sheet when you add it; supplies are shown apart, because your food cost already covers what you cook with them.

    Limitations

    • It reads the reports you download; it has no access to your partner dashboard and cannot fetch reports for you. PDF invoices are not read: download the Excel or CSV report.
    • Column names follow the reports restaurants download, but platforms rename and add columns from time to time: check the matches under Columns, especially the first time.
    • Order ids that Excel has turned into numbers like 5.12E+09 have lost their digits: download the report again and do not save it in Excel first.
    • At most 50,000 rows are read from one sheet: split longer periods into several files.
    • Food cost is your own percentage of the item total, not the cost of each dish; for dish-level costs, cost your recipes first.
    • The checks show where to look. Your platform agreement, its statements and its tax invoices decide what is owed; this is an estimate, not tax or accounting advice.

    Privacy

On this device: nothing is sent

Your files are read in your browser, in a background worker, and never uploaded. Your settings, your agreed rates and the column matches of each report layout are kept in this browser’s storage so next week’s report reads the same way; the reports themselves are not kept.

    Frequently asked questions

What do I get without a pass?

Without a pass, Swiggy & Zomato Payout & Profit Analyzer shows the payout summary in full, with the count and amount of every check, the first rows of each table (up to 10) and a watermarked chart. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.

Are my payout reports uploaded anywhere?

No. They are read on your device, and nothing is sent to MySmartCoPilot or anyone else. Only your settings and column matches are kept in this browser.

Which report do I download from Swiggy and Zomato?

The order-level payout report of each week or month: the Excel or CSV file that lists every order with its commission, fees, taxes and payout (Zomato’s order-level sheet, Swiggy’s payout annexure). The summary sheet and the PDF invoice are not needed. Add the additions and deductions sheet too, so ads and other charges taken from the payouts are counted.

Why is the GST on Zomato’s and Swiggy’s fees counted as a cost?

Restaurant service is taxed at 5% on the condition that no input tax credit is taken, so a restaurant cannot set the GST on the platform’s fees against its own tax. If your business does claim it (a restaurant taxed at 18% with input tax credit), tick “I claim input tax credit on the platforms’ fees” under Your agreement and it is added back to what you keep.

Why are TDS and TCS not costs?

TDS is income tax paid on your behalf, which you claim in your return; TCS is GST credited to your electronic cash ledger. Both reduce the payout but not your profit, as long as you claim them, so the tool adds them back to what you keep.

Does it know my commission rate?

It reads the rate each order was charged at from the report. Enter the rates in your agreement under Your agreement, and every order charged more is listed with the difference.

What is the contribution after food cost?

What an order leaves you to pay rent, salaries and other fixed costs: the money you keep from the platform less the food cost, packaging and other costs that come with each order. Your cloud kitchen breaks even when the month’s contribution covers its fixed costs; the Cloud Kitchen Startup & Break-Even Planner works that out.
