Past and planned stays
Both entry and exit dates count. Add each stay. Select the authorised permit or long-stay exclusion only for its actual authorised dates.

Check a date and plan a short stay
The chart defaults to the proposed stay and includes every rolling 180-day window. Earliest-entry planning checks the full required calendar length, including explicit authorised periods. Only short-stay days count toward 90.
What this calculation covers
For every day, count distinct short-stay presence dates in that day and the preceding 179 days. Repeated or overlapping stays count once. Explicit authorised long-stay or residence-permit periods are excluded.
The Schengen area includes Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Ireland has an opt-out, and Cyprus is outside this area’s abolished internal-border checks.
Keep actual travel and Entry/Exit System records consistent. This arithmetic does not grant entry, extend a visa or determine national agreements, residence rights or your permitted visa-sticker duration. Confirm your case with the consulate or border authority.

About the Schengen 90/180 Calculator
Enter all short stays, actual entry and exit dates, and any explicitly authorised residence-permit or long-stay periods. The calculator merges overlapping presence, counts both border-crossing dates and checks each rolling 180-day window. It finds the latest continuous exit and the first entry date that supports your whole requested stay. The preview shows recorded days in your selected window; a Pro pass opens complete planning details and exports.
How to use it
- Add every past stay, with both entry and exit dates. Choose the short-stay or authorised long-stay basis for each row.
- Choose the day whose recorded rolling window you want to inspect.
- Enter the proposed entry and the required inclusive stay length. The search finds the first feasible entry on or after that date.
- Open the full daily chart or export its CSV. Confirm the result against your visa, consulate guidance and actual border records.
Examples
Enter on the first day of a month and leave on its third day.
That stay counts as three presence days, including entry and exit.
The rolling rule
Days used on day D = distinct counted presence dates from D−179 through D. A proposed stay is within this arithmetic limit only when every day is at most 90. Overlapping entries are not added twice.
Official scope
European Commission short-stay calculator. Schengen area guidance. Entry/Exit System guidance. These source explanations do not establish every national exception or your individual permission.
Limitations
- General arithmetic, not legal advice or permission to enter. Visa-sticker duration, nationality agreements, residence rights and local rules can impose different conditions.
- An authorised long-stay exclusion is applied only to the dates you enter. The calculator cannot verify the document or where you travelled. Full calendar presence can exceed 90 only when its counted windows remain within the rule; no additional authority is inferred.
- Civil dates use the Gregorian calendar and ignore times of day. Every selected daily chart row is available; long ranges are paged and generated in chunks for export.

Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Schengen 90/180 Calculator shows counted days in the selected rolling window in full, with the first rows of each table (up to 3) and a watermarked chart; every other figure is hidden. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
Do entry and exit dates both count?
Yes. The presence range is inclusive. Entering and leaving on one day counts once.
Does 90 days outside always reset every earlier stay?
The rolling window determines the answer. The planner checks every proposed day against the entered history instead of treating a trip as a fixed reset.
Why can the earliest entry be later than the first available day?
A first day can be under the limit while a later day of the requested stay exceeds it. Earliest-entry search verifies the entire requested duration.
