About the Poland PPK Pension Contribution Calculator (Employee Capital Plan)
See what an Employee Capital Plan (PPK, pracownicze plany kapitałowe) costs you and what it adds. Enter your gross pay and the contributions you and your employer pay, and the calculator shows what goes into your PPK each month, how much less net pay that leaves you (your own contribution plus the tax on your employer's, which counts as your income), the State's welcome payment and annual top-up, and your savings year by year at a yearly return you choose.
It also shows what you would get from age 60, when a quarter is paid at once and the rest in 120 monthly instalments, and what an early return (zwrot) leaves you after part of your employer's money goes to ZUS. Nothing you type leaves your browser. Without a pass the page shows a free preview of your own result: what goes into your PPK each month and the first rows of each table, while every other figure stays hidden until you unlock it with a Pro pass.
How to use it
- Enter your gross pay a month, as on your payslip.
- Choose your basic contribution (2%, or as little as 0,5% on low pay) and any extra contributions you or your employer pay.
- Set the years of saving and the yearly return you want to assume, or leave it at 0% to see only what is paid in.
- Read what goes in each month, what it costs your net pay, the State payments and your savings by year.
- With a Pro pass, or after unlocking this result, copy the summary or download the table as a CSV file; without one the page shows a free preview.
Examples
280,00 zł goes in each month (you 160,00 zł, your employer 120,00 zł) for 175,00 zł less net pay: 15,00 zł of it is the tax on your employer’s share.
Every złoty less in your net pay puts about 1,60 zł into your PPK. After 10 years with no return: 36.250,00 zł, 2.650,00 zł of it from the State.
168,21 zł goes in each month for 104,12 zł less net pay; the year’s 2.018,52 zł earns the annual top-up of 240 zł.
You 4% (480,00 zł) and your employer 4% (480,00 zł): 960,00 zł a month.
Savings of 109.564,86 zł, 37.314,86 zł of it from returns; from 60, 27.391,21 zł at once and about 684,78 zł a month for 120 months.
The 4% is an assumption for the example, not a forecast: PPK funds can rise or fall.
Who pays what into PPK
- You: a basic 2% of your gross pay, or as little as 0,5% when your pay from all jobs is at most 1,2 minimum wages (5.767,20 zł a month), plus up to 2% extra (PPK Act art. 27).
- Your employer: a basic 1,5%, plus up to 2,5% extra (art. 26). Its contributions are left out of your social insurance base but count as your taxable income, so your tax advance rises a little (PIT Act art. 12).
- The State: a welcome payment of 250 zł after 3 full months in PPK (art. 31), and an annual top-up of 240 zł when the year's contributions of you and your employer reach the basic contributions due on 6 minimum wages, 1.009,26 zł (252,32 zł with a lowered basic contribution; art. 32; mojeppk.pl).
The PPK pay is your pension contribution base without its yearly cap, so contributions go on all year however high your pay.
Taking the money out
From 60 you can take a quarter at once and the rest in at least 120 monthly instalments, with no tax (art. 99; mojeppk.pl). Before 60 you can ask for an early return (zwrot): you get your own contributions, 70% of your employer's, and their returns less a 19% tax on the gain (PIT Act art. 30a ust. 1 pkt 11d); the other 30% of your employer's money goes to your pension account at ZUS, and the State's payments go back (art. 105). Withdrawals for a first home or a serious illness have rules of their own, not covered here.
Limitations
- Your pay stays the same every year, and so do the minimum wage and the top-up threshold; real ones change.
- The return is your own assumption: a PPK fund’s value changes with the markets and its fees, and nothing here forecasts it.
- The net pay effect is worked out for an employment contract with the standard costs of earning and the PIT-2 statement; a contract of mandate or other costs change it a little.
- The State’s payments arrive some weeks after the quarter or the year they are for; the projection adds them at the end of that quarter or year.
- The early-return tax is shown as 19% of the investment gain of what is paid to you; your PPK provider works out the exact amount.
- MySmartCoPilot is not a financial adviser: the result is an estimate from the PPK Act, not financial advice.

Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Poland PPK Pension Contribution Calculator (Employee Capital Plan) shows what goes into your PPK each month in full, with the first rows of the savings by year and of the payouts and the rules that apply; every other figure is hidden. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment unless you choose automatic renewal, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
How much does PPK cost me each month?
Your own contribution, 2% of your gross pay, plus the tax on your employer's contribution: about 12% of it on most pay. At 8.000,00 zł gross that is 175,00 zł less net pay for 280,00 zł paid in.
Is the employer’s PPK contribution taxed?
Yes. It counts as your income, so the tax advance on your pay rises by about the tax rate times the contribution; it is not part of your social insurance base, so it adds no ZUS contributions.
When do I get the 240 zł top-up?
For each year in which you and your employer together pay in at least 1.009,26 zł (252,32 zł with a lowered basic contribution). The basic contributions on the minimum wage already reach it.
What happens if I take my money out early?
You get your contributions, 70% of your employer’s and the returns on them less 19% tax on the gain. The other 30% of the employer’s money is credited to your ZUS pension account, and the welcome payment and top-ups go back to the State.
Is my pay sent anywhere?
No. Everything is worked out in your browser; nothing you enter is uploaded or stored on a server.
