About the CSV / Excel to PDF Table
Open a CSV, TSV or Excel file — or paste cells from a spreadsheet — and get a clean, printable PDF table: A4, Letter, Legal or A3, portrait or landscape, with the header row repeated on every page, zebra-striped rows, lines between rows or around every cell, a title, page numbers and a footer. Numbers are right-aligned, any column can be left out or aligned your way, and rows can be numbered.
The table is fitted to the page your way: shrink the text until every column fits the width, wrap long text at the size you chose, or split a wide table over several pages, with the first column repeated on each. Text in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and the other Indian scripts is set in Noto fonts with its conjuncts and vowel signs drawn correctly, and stays searchable and copyable in most PDF readers.
Only the table’s data is printed: Excel’s own colours, fonts, charts, pictures and print areas are not carried over (the Excel to PDF Converter keeps those). Everything runs in your browser. Without a pass, the free preview shows the first pages of the PDF with a watermark; the PDF unlocks with a Pro pass.
How to use it
- Choose a CSV, TSV or Excel file (or paste cells under Or paste the table). Pick the sheet of a workbook, and untick First row is the header if the first row is data.
- Under Columns, untick the columns you do not want and set an alignment where Auto (numbers right, text left) is not what you want.
- Choose the paper, orientation, how wide tables fit (shrink, wrap or split), the text size and the look: title, zebra rows, lines, row numbers, page numbers, footer.
- Check the pages on the right. With a pass, or after unlocking this result, press Download PDF; without one, the free preview shows the first pages with a watermark.
Examples
Item,Qty,Price "Notebook, ruled",3,45.00 Gel pen,10,12.50
One A4 page: the title, a shaded header row, zebra rows, numbers on the right, “Page 1 of 1”.
24 columns × 3,000 rows
Landscape with smaller text (shrink), or 3 pages across per set of rows (split), the first column on each.
Common uses
- Printing a price list, stock list, timetable or register from a spreadsheet.
- Sending a table as a PDF that looks the same on every device.
- Turning an export into a document to sign, file or attach.
- Printing tables with Hindi, Tamil or other Indian-language text, which many converters garble.
Fitting wide tables
- Shrink text to fit makes the text smaller (down to 5 pt) until every column fits the page width on one line; past that, long cells wrap.
- Wrap long text keeps your text size; each column gets room in proportion to its longest value, and long values wrap onto more lines.
- Split wide tables over pages keeps your text size and puts as many columns as fit on each page: first every row with the first columns, then the next columns, with the first column repeated so each page can be read on its own.
Auto orientation turns the page landscape when the columns would not fit across a portrait page.
Fonts and scripts
Plain Western European text is set in Helvetica, which every PDF reader has, so the file stays small. Other Latin letters, Greek and Cyrillic are set in Noto Sans, and the nine Indian scripts (Devanagari, Bengali, Gurmukhi, Gujarati, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam) in Noto Sans for their script, shaped so conjuncts and vowel signs come out right. Only the letters used are embedded. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Hebrew text and emoji have no font here: they are drawn as “?”, and the page lists them before you download.
Limitations
- Data only: Excel’s formatting, merged cells, charts, pictures, comments and print areas are not carried over. Cells are printed as the workbook shows them (dates and numbers formatted).
- Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew and Thai text and emoji are drawn as “?” (no font for them is included).
- Up to 100,000 rows, 200 columns and 3,000 pages. Column widths are measured on the first 30,000 rows.
- CSV files up to 100 MB and workbooks up to 50 MB can be opened.

Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, CSV / Excel to PDF Table shows the first pages of the result (up to 3) as watermarked page images, with a summary of the whole file. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
How do I convert a CSV file to PDF?
Open the CSV here, choose the paper and how the table should fit, check the pages and, with a pass, press Download PDF. Without a pass, the free preview shows the first pages with a watermark.
How do I keep a wide table on the page?
Leave Orientation on Auto (it turns landscape when needed) and choose Shrink text to fit — or, if the text would get too small, Split wide tables over pages, which keeps the size and continues the columns on further pages with the first column repeated.
Is the header row repeated on every page?
Yes, unless you untick Header on every page. Rows are never cut between pages, except a single row taller than a whole page, which continues on the next one.
Does it keep my Excel formatting?
No: it prints the data as a clean table in its own style. To keep Excel’s fonts, colours, borders and print setup, use the Excel to PDF Converter.
Can it print Hindi or Tamil text?
Yes. The nine Indian scripts are set in Noto fonts with proper shaping, and the text stays searchable and copyable in most PDF readers (viewers built on pdf.js, such as Firefox’s, may give a vowel sign written before its letter in drawing order when you copy). The fonts are downloaded from MySmartCoPilot the first time a table needs them.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The table is read and the PDF is made in your browser.
