About Prism Orchard: Color Circuit

Far under the water, a glass city still keeps its plazas. Prism fruit grows in their fountains, and a live wire runs round each one, waiting for colour. Light the wire in the right order and the great prism above the plaza splits the light over the towers, and one more district of the city wakes up.

Your swaps can wait. Make one, and its tiles hold their breath; make a second that links with it, and both release together as one cascade. So the real game is planning a pair: the first swap that sets things up, and the second that sends the whole plaza falling the right way.

Each plaza asks for a circuit, a short run of colours shown on the wire as glass nodes: clear the colours in that order, and close the circuit as many times as the plaza asks before the moves run out. Light two steps with one move and you Overcharge, which gives a move back. Later plazas add the alternating current: every closed circuit turns the light round, and the order runs backwards.

Twenty-four plazas are drawn by hand, from the First Lens to the City of Light, then the deep water deals them again with new fruit. Every one is solved by a player in the code before it reaches you, so it can always be won. There is no clock, Settings offers more moves or none at all, and a hint is one press away. Stars, bests and badges stay in this browser, and nothing is uploaded.

How to play

  1. Drag a fruit toward a neighbour to swap them, or tap one fruit and then the next. The arrow keys and Enter or Space work too.
  2. A first swap waits with its tiles glowing. Add a second swap that links with it and both release as one cascade, or press Release to let the first go alone, or Undo to take it back.
  3. The glass nodes on the wire show the circuit. Clear their colours in that order to light each node; close every circuit the plaza asks for before the moves run out.
  4. Light two nodes with a single move to Overcharge and win a move back. Where the current turns, each closed circuit reverses the order.
  5. Press H or the Hint button for a pair of swaps that works. Press P, Escape or Start to pause.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my first swap not clear anything?

In this game a swap can wait. The first one holds its tiles in a glow until you add a second swap that links with it; then both release together. Press Release to let a single swap go, or Undo to take it back without spending a move.

What is an Overcharge?

When one move lights two or more nodes of the circuit, the light overcharges the wire and gives you a move back. Planning a pair of swaps that clears two colours of the order in one cascade is the surest way.

What does the alternating current do?

On plazas marked with it, every closed circuit turns the light round: the nodes glide to their new places and the order runs backwards, so the colour you finished on is the one to start the next circuit with.

Can every plaza be won?

Yes. Each plaza is solved by a player in the code before it is shipped, and the moves are set with room to spare. The hint shows a pair of swaps that works, and Settings offers more moves or no limit.

Does it save my progress?

Your plaza, stars, bests and badges are kept in this browser only, and nothing is uploaded.
