Resume Builder
Write your resume or biodata, watch it take shape, and download a clean PDF or Word file.
Preview
Download PDF makes the file directly, with selectable text and clickable links. Word (.docx) opens in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice and Google Docs for editing. Print / Save as PDF uses your browser’s print dialog (pick “Save as PDF” as the printer) and handles every script, including Tamil, Bengali or Urdu.
About the Resume Builder
Fill in your details, work history, education and skills, and the resume appears as a printable page while you type. Choose one of four resume templates — all one column, with standard headings and real text — then download a PDF, an editable Word file, or copy the text for job portals that ask you to paste your resume. Paste a job ad into Match a job description to see which of its keywords your resume already uses.
Switch to Marriage biodata for a family biodata with photo, personal, education, family and contact details in three traditional and modern designs — Hindi, Marathi and other Devanagari text included. Everything stays in this browser: drafts are saved on your device, and nothing you type or add is uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose Resume / CV or Marriage biodata, or press Example to start from a filled-in sample with made-up details.
- Enter your name and contact details, then fill in each section. Write one achievement per line in the experience boxes — each line becomes a bullet point.
- Rename, reorder, hide or remove sections, and Add a section for projects, certifications, languages, awards, personal details or anything else.
- Open Design to pick a template, A4 or US Letter paper, text size, accent colour and whether to show a photo.
- Optional: paste the job ad into Match a job description and add missing keywords where they truly describe your experience.
- Download the PDF or Word file, use Print / Save as PDF, or Copy text. Use Save copy to keep a .json file you can open again on any device.
Examples
Job title: Financial Analyst · Employer: Example Industries Ltd · From: Jun 2022 · I’m here now Built the annual budget and rolling forecast for 4 plants Cut the month-end close from 8 to 5 working days
Financial Analyst Jun 2022 – Present Example Industries Ltd · Pune • Built the annual budget and rolling forecast for 4 plants • Cut the month-end close from 8 to 5 working days
18 of 24 keywords from the job description are in your resume (75%). Not in your resume: Oracle Financials, stakeholder management, compliance…
The words come from the ad itself — phrases it repeats and names of tools and qualifications such as SQL, Power BI or SAP FICO.
Gotra: (empty)
The row is left out of the biodata, so you can keep only the details your family wants to share.
How the templates are built for applicant-tracking systems
Many employers read applications through applicant-tracking software, which pulls the text out of your file. The templates follow the usual advice for that:
- One column, read top to bottom — no side bars or text boxes whose order can get mixed up.
- Standard headings such as Experience, Education and Skills (you can rename them, but plain names are easiest to recognise).
- Real text, not pictures of text: the PDF’s text can be selected and copied in reading order, and the Word file uses normal paragraphs, real bullet points and no tables.
- Contact details in the body, not in a page header, with the email address and links written out.
No tool can promise how a particular system will rank you; a clear, relevant resume is what helps most.
Writing points that get read
- Start each point with a verb and say what changed: “Cut the month-end close from 8 to 5 working days” tells more than “Responsible for month-end close”.
- Use numbers where you honestly can — money, time, volume, people.
- Put your most relevant experience first and keep the resume to one or two pages; the preview shows the page count.
- Use the job ad’s own words for skills you really have: if it says “financial modelling”, do not write only “building models”.
Marriage biodata
The biodata starts with the usual sections — personal details (date, time and place of birth, height, religion, community, gotra, rashi, nakshatra and similar), education and career, family details, contact details and a few lines about the person and what the family is looking for. Every row can be renamed, moved or deleted, and rows left empty are left out, so the biodata shows only what you choose to share.
You can add an invocation line at the top, such as “॥ श्री गणेशाय नमः ॥”, and write any field in Hindi, Marathi or another Devanagari-script language — the PDF includes a Devanagari font. For Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Urdu and other scripts, use Print / Save as PDF, which uses your device’s fonts.
Files you can make
- Download PDF: an A4 or Letter PDF made in your browser, with selectable text, clickable email and web links, and page numbers when it runs over one page.
- Download Word: an editable .docx for Microsoft Word, LibreOffice or Google Docs.
- Print / Save as PDF: prints exactly what the preview shows.
- Copy text: plain text for application forms and emails.
- Save copy: a .json file with everything you entered. Open it later with Open copy — on another device too.
Limitations
- The downloaded PDF can draw Latin-script text (including accented letters and ₹) and Devanagari. Other scripts are replaced with “?” and the tool tells you so — use Print / Save as PDF for them.
- The keyword match compares words and their endings (“forecasts” finds “forecasting”). It does not know synonyms or abbreviations, and it is not the score any particular applicant-tracking system gives.
- Templates are one-column by design; there are no two-column, graphic or infographic layouts.
- Drafts are kept in this browser. Clearing your browsing data deletes them, so use Save copy for anything you want to keep. A large photo may not be saved if the browser’s storage is full.
Privacy
Everything you type, your photo and any job description you paste stay on this device. Drafts are saved in this browser’s local storage, and the PDF and Word files are made in the browser — nothing is uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Is this resume ATS-friendly?
The templates follow the usual advice for applicant-tracking systems: one column, standard section headings, real selectable text, no tables or text boxes, and contact details in the body of the page. No tool can guarantee how a specific system parses or ranks a resume.
Can I download my resume in Word format?
Yes. Download Word creates an editable .docx with normal paragraphs, real bullet points and clickable links. It opens in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice and Google Docs.
Should I put a photo on my resume?
It depends on the country and employer. Resumes and CVs in India, the Gulf and much of Europe often include one; in the US, the UK, Canada and Australia applicants usually leave it out. Applicant-tracking systems ignore photos either way. Turn Show a photo on or off in Design.
How does the job description match work?
The tool picks keywords out of the job ad — words and two- or three-word phrases that it repeats, and names of tools, skills and qualifications — and checks whether each appears in your resume, ignoring word endings. Add a missing keyword only where it is true for you.
Can I make a marriage biodata in Hindi or Marathi?
Yes. Write any field in Devanagari script — the preview, the PDF and the Word file all support it. For other Indian scripts use Print / Save as PDF.
Where is my resume saved?
In this browser only (local storage), so it is there when you come back on the same device. Nothing is uploaded. To move it to another device, use Save copy and open the .json file there with Open copy.
