About the India CA Exam Pass and Exemption Calculator
Apply the Foundation, Intermediate or Final marks scheme to every whole paper, group and combined examination. Ordinary exemptions keep their original marks for the next three scheduled examinations; permanent continuation credits 50 and needs 50 in every remaining paper, chosen in the single window and for the whole group. Next-attempt totals keep only unexpired or newly eligible credit. The preview shows the overall reference and part of the result; a Pro pass opens full paper/group reports and exports.
How to use it
- Choose the exact current or historical paper-count scheme and mark each group as current, previously passed or not attempted.
- Enter every whole-paper mark and each paper’s status (absent, ordinary or permanent exemption), including scheduled examinations already past and confirmed continuation conditions.
- Review paper minima, group/combined totals, carried credit and every next-attempt minimum; official statements, surrender and transition rules remain separate.
Rules, official data and exact scope
ICAI regulations, new-scheme FAQ, paper-exemption FAQ, current examination guidance and its permanent-continuation instructions govern your record. Ordinary whole-paper minima are 40 and the group/combined aggregate is 50%. A selected permanent exemption credits 50 only and requires 50 in every remaining group paper.
Limitations

Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, India CA Exam Pass and Exemption Calculator shows your overall pass or fail result in full, with the first rows of each table (up to 3) and a watermarked chart; every other figure is hidden. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
Do skipped examinations extend ordinary exemption?
No. The next three immediately scheduled examinations count even if you do not appear. A lapsed award is not revived by the calculator.
Does permanent exemption keep an earlier 90 mark?
It credits exactly 50. Excess from the original award cannot satisfy the same or other group aggregate, and every remaining paper in that group needs 50.
Are old and new schemes interchangeable?
No. Select the exact marks-record paper count. Special unit conversions, registration, permission to sit and giving up an exemption follow the official ICAI instructions. Use the whole-paper totals on your marks statement, including ICAI’s Foundation rounding; component scores are not separate papers.
