About the Google Review Link Generator
Paste the review link from your Google Business Profile — or your business’s Place ID — and get everything you need to ask customers for reviews: the link itself, a QR code as PNG or SVG, a print-ready PDF for a counter sign, a folding table tent or a sheet of ten business cards, and email, SMS and WhatsApp requests in a friendly, formal or short tone.
Everything follows Google’s rules for reviews: the messages invite every customer, whatever their experience, offer nothing in return and suggest no rating. Paste your own request or sign text into Check your own wording to find phrases those rules prohibit, such as discounts for reviews or asking only happy customers. The card prints in your accent colour, in any language, and nothing you type leaves your browser.
Without a pass, the free preview shows your review link to read, its QR code and the print card with every code blocked so it can’t be scanned, and the first words of each message; the wording check always works. Copying, testing and downloading unlock with a Pro pass.
How to use it
- On a computer, open your Business Profile and choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews: Google shows your review link (it usually looks like
https://g.page/r/…/review). Or find your Place ID in Google’s Place ID Finder. - Paste it into Review link or Place ID and add your business name. The tool checks the link and draws its QR code.
- Under Print card, choose a counter sign, a table tent or business cards, the size or paper, the headline and the line under the code, and your accent colour. The preview shows what will print.
- Under Ask your customers, pick the tone and the occasion, and add the customer’s first name and your name if you like.
- With a pass, or after unlocking a result, copy the link and the messages, test the link, download the QR code as PNG or SVG and the card as a PDF, and print the PDF at actual size.

Loved your visit? Leave us 5 stars and get 10% off!
Not allowed: “10% off” (an incentive) and “5 stars” (asking for a rating). Check: “Loved your visit” may read as asking only happy customers.
Business Blue Door Bakery · customer Asha · friendly
Hi Asha, thanks for choosing Blue Door Bakery. How did we do? You can leave a Google review here: https://g.page/r/…/review
Written in the plain SMS alphabet, so it stays one text message as long as it fits in 160 characters.
Common uses
- A café or salon printing a counter sign or table tents so customers can review it before they leave the table.
- A clinic, agency or tradesperson sending a short request by SMS, WhatsApp or email after an appointment.
- A shop handing out business cards with a review QR code with every receipt.
- Checking a review request written by someone else before it goes out.
Which link to use
The safest link is the one Google gives you: in your Business Profile choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy it (Google Business Profile Help: Create a Google link or QR code to request reviews). Google notes that its own QR code can only be made in a computer browser, not on a phone. Without access to the profile, a Place ID works too: find your business in Google’s Place ID Finder, and the tool writes the link to Google’s write-a-review page for that place. A Google link that already carries the Place ID (a Maps link with place_id: in it, for example) works the same way. Google says that “Place IDs may change over time” (Place IDs), so test a printed code from time to time.
“Customers must be signed into a Google Account to leave a review” (Tips to get more reviews): the link asks them to sign in if they are not.
Google’s rules for asking
Google allows you to “solicit or encourage the posting of content that does represent a genuine experience, without offering incentives to do so or attempting to influence the rating or the contents of the review”. Its Maps content policy prohibits (Prohibited & restricted content):
- offering incentives in exchange for posting a review, or for changing or removing a negative one: payment, discounts, gifts, goods or services;
- to “discourage or prohibit negative reviews, or selectively solicit positive reviews from customers” (review gating);
- to “require or pressure users to leave ratings or write reviews while on the premises”, or to “request that specific content be included”;
- asking staff to collect a number of reviews, and content based on a conflict of interest, such as reviews by employees or competitors.
Google’s Business Profile help adds that offering incentives for reviews “is considered fake engagement and is strictly prohibited” (Create a Google link or QR code to request reviews). The messages here keep to these rules, and Check your own wording points at phrases that do not; it reads words, so a rule can still be broken in ways no checker sees.
Printing the card
- Counter sign: one card from A6 to A4 (or 4 × 6 in to US Letter) with a large code; print on card and stand it in a holder, or cut along the thin frame.
- Table tent: an A4 or US Letter sheet folded in half along the dashed line. The top half prints upside down, so both sides read the right way up on the table.
- Business cards: ten cards of 85 × 55 mm on A4, or 3.5 × 2 in on US Letter; cut along the marks.
Print at actual size (100%), not “fit to page”. Every code keeps a quiet zone of four modules, as the QR code standard asks, and prints in black on white for the most reliable scans. Words in scripts the card font does not include (Devanagari, Arabic, Chinese and others) are drawn into the PDF by your browser, in your device’s fonts, so other languages print too.
Where to share the link
Google suggests putting the link on receipts, in thank-you emails and at the end of a chat, displaying the QR code in your store, and sending requests by email, WhatsApp message or a Facebook post. Send messages only to customers who agreed to hear from you, and follow the rules for messages in your country.
Limitations
- The tool cannot open short Maps links (maps.app.goo.gl) or look up a business by name: that would need a request to Google. Paste the link from “Get more reviews” or a Place ID instead.
- It does not check that a link or Place ID belongs to your business: test the link (or scan the code) before you print.
- The wording check reads words and phrases; it cannot see how a request is made, and it is not legal advice.
- The templates are in English; edit them in your email or messaging app for other languages.
- MySmartCoPilot is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google: the tool builds its links, codes and cards from the review link or Place ID you paste.

Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Google Review Link Generator shows your review link to read, its QR code and print card marked so they can’t be scanned, the first words of each message, and every wording check. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded, copied or opened in another app. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
How do I get my Google review link?
On a computer, open your Business Profile at business.google.com, choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews, and copy the link. Paste it here for the QR code, a print card and request messages. Without access to the profile, use your business’s Place ID from Google’s Place ID Finder.
Can I make a Google review link from a Place ID?
Yes. Paste the Place ID (it usually starts with ChIJ) and the tool writes the link to Google’s write-a-review page for that place: https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid= followed by the ID. Test it before you print it.
Can I offer a discount for a Google review?
No. Google’s Maps content policy prohibits offering incentives in exchange for posting any review — payment, discounts, gifts, goods or services — and its Business Profile help treats it as fake engagement. Thank customers instead, and ask everyone, not only happy customers.
Can I ask only happy customers to review us?
No: selectively soliciting positive reviews (review gating) is prohibited by Google’s Maps content policy, and so is discouraging negative reviews. Ask every customer with a neutral question such as “How did we do?”.
Why does my link open the Google sign-in page?
Because customers must be signed in to a Google Account to leave a review. After signing in, the link continues to the review form.
What size should the QR code be?
Big enough for a phone at the distance people stand: the counter sign uses most of the card’s width, and even a business card’s code is about 3.5 cm across with its white border. Keep that border, print in black on white, and test the code with a phone before printing many. A very long link (a long Place ID) makes a dense code: the tool says so, and such a code is better printed as a counter sign.
