About the Visual SQL Query Builder

Build a SELECT statement from imported table and column names without typing SQL. Load explicit DDL, an ordinary SQLite database snapshot, CSV files or worksheets with text headers. Choose selected columns, aggregates, AND filters, grouping, HAVING, sorting and a row limit. Foreign keys and matching names become suggestions you explicitly confirm; competing relationships are flagged. The free preview shows partial SQL and query rows. A Pro pass opens the full SQL and result files.

How to use it

  1. Choose a source type, load a schema/file set, or load the sample. DDL supplies column definitions; row previews also need original database or spreadsheet data.
  2. Select tables and confirm an intended relationship for each join. Matching column names alone are not proof of a relationship.
  3. Add selected columns and optional aggregates, assign unique output aliases, and choose filters, grouping, HAVING and sort fields.
  4. Generate SQL for the selected dialect. Every non-aggregate selected field must be grouped when using aggregation.
  5. Preview rows against your loaded data with the local read-only SQLite engine. Export SQL, CSV or JSON results with a Pro pass.

Examples

Join sample customers and orders
Input
Select customers and orders; confirm customers.id = orders.customer_id; select customers.name and orders.amount.
Result
The generated SELECT uses a confirmed join. The local sample produces Amina with 25.50 and 10.00, and Sam with 20.00.

Input affinity and preview semantics

CSV and worksheet values use TEXT affinity to preserve identifiers and leading zeroes; blank strings and NULL remain different. Numeric comparisons and aggregates on text follow the selected database's rules, so convert number/date fields deliberately in the original source. Imported SQLite columns retain their declared types and keys. Row previews always use SQLite semantics and do not validate another dialect.

Confirmed joins and safe construction

Imported foreign-key column pairs remain together, including composite keys. Matching names are suggestions only. Each confirmed join introduces one table; disconnected, cyclic or reversed LEFT join plans are refused. Identifiers are quoted for the chosen dialect, and filter values become escaped scalar literals. Original DDL is parsed for its structure and is never executed against a loaded database.

Limitations

  • The form covers ordinary SELECT queries, confirmed INNER/LEFT joins, AND filters and selected aggregates. It is not a general SQL editor.
  • Row previews use an ordinary SQLite snapshot or imported delimited/spreadsheet data. Encrypted databases, arbitrary uploaded SQL execution, external databases and dialect-specific execution are not offered.
  • Data imports preserve TEXT affinity. Review text-versus-number/date semantics before using generated SQL on another database.
  • An import is bounded by this browser's local memory and worker deadline. Split large files; no user data is uploaded for a larger job.
  • A selected join must connect a new table. Self joins, cyclic plans, custom join expressions and aggregate-alias sorting are not offered in the current form.
  • MySmartCoPilot is not affiliated with or endorsed by SQLite or the spreadsheet formats' vendors.

Frequently asked questions

What do I get without a pass?

Without a pass, Visual SQL Query Builder shows the first part of generated SQL and partial query rows, up to half; full code, result files and exports locked. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.

Why does DDL alone not produce rows?

CREATE TABLE describes a schema but supplies no data. Load a SQLite snapshot, CSV/Excel rows or the sample to run the generated read-only query locally.

Will a suggested join be used automatically?

No. Confirm the actual relationship. When several foreign keys or matching names could connect tables, the builder lists the ambiguity rather than guessing.

Is the original database changed?

No. The page opens a memory copy and runs only a query assembled from validated form fields. Query-only mode prevents writes; closing or resetting the page discards the copy.
