About the Translation QA Checker
Review a bilingual PO, XLIFF, TMX or spreadsheet before delivery, or compare source and target text by line. Checks cover missing or copied translations, protected syntax, ICU options, tags, numbers, dates, URLs, inconsistent terminology, repeated spacing, punctuation, capitalization and entered length limits. Every issue retains its segment identity and original text.
Add a CSV or TBX glossary for terminology checks. The optional installed dictionary checks US English spelling and includes its complete notices. Mark intentional differences as false positives without deleting them from the report. The free preview shows counts and up to ten issues per check; a Pro pass opens complete reports.
How to use it
- Open a bilingual resource or spreadsheet with source and target columns, or enter aligned source and target text. Choose both language tags.
- Select the checks and optional limits. Add a CSV or TBX glossary; select the US English dictionary only when appropriate.
- Run the complete local check, open each issue’s source and target text, and mark intentional differences as false positives.
- Download the complete Excel, CSV or HTML report with a Pro pass. Keep false-positive decisions and all original issue text for review.
Common uses
- Delivering application strings without losing their original identifiers and metadata.
- Reviewing complete local translation jobs while keeping client files on the device.
Format contracts and data rights
Format contracts: OASIS XLIFF, GNU gettext, Unicode plural rules, TMX specification and SRX specification. Bundled plural data and the optional dictionary include their full notices. User files retain their own rights.
Limitations
- QA findings are review candidates, not proof that a translation is correct. Dates, names and punctuation may differ intentionally.
- Numeric date order is not guessed. Number separators and grapheme segmentation follow the browser’s locale runtime.
- Bundled plural rules and their data notices are retained separately; host Intl is not claimed to match a particular Unicode version.
- The installed spelling dictionary is US English. TBX structural extraction does not certify a terminology dialect or ISO conformance.
Privacy
