About the Printable Calendar
Design a calendar and print it: a year at a glance on one page, a month per page with room to write in each day, a monthly planner with ruled note lines, or a year planner with one column per month for the wall. Choose any year from 1 to 9999, start in any month — April for an Indian financial year, June or July for a school year — and print 1 to 24 months.
Add ISO 8601 or US week numbers, start weeks on Monday, Sunday or Saturday, shade the weekend, and mark official public holidays for India (Central Government, Delhi/New Delhi), the United States or the United Kingdom, each with its source. Your own birthdays and deadlines can be added in plain text. Download an exact A4 or US Letter PDF, or print straight from the browser.
How to use it
- Choose the Layout, the Year, the Starting month and how many Months to include.
- Pick the first day of the week, week numbers, a Public holidays list and which days to shade.

Common uses
- A wall or desk calendar for home, an office notice board or a classroom.
- A financial-year or academic-year planner that starts in April, June or July.
- Project and shift planning with week numbers and public holidays marked.
- A blank calendar for any past or future year, from 1 to 9999.
Where the holiday lists come from
- India: holidays for Central Government administrative offices in Delhi/New Delhi, from the Department of Personnel and Training’s Office Memoranda for 2026 (with Id-ul-Zuha moved to 28 May 2026 by a later OM) and 2027. The 17 gazetted holidays are shown in red; the optional list adds the restricted holidays (marked RH), of which each employee may take two. Offices outside Delhi follow lists set by state committees, banks follow their own lists, and dates of Id-ul-Fitr, Id-ul-Zuha, Muharram and Id-e-Milad can change with the sighting of the moon.
- United States: the federal legal public holidays of 5 U.S.C. 6103, worked out for any year from 1971. When a holiday falls on a Saturday it is observed on the Friday before, and on a Sunday the Monday after; both days are marked. Inauguration Day, a holiday only around Washington, DC, is not included.
- United Kingdom: bank holidays for England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland as published by GOV.UK for 2019 to 2028, including substitute days. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
For years without a published list the calendar says so instead of guessing.
Week numbers
With Monday as the first day, rows carry ISO 8601 week numbers (week 1 contains the first Thursday of the year), as used in Europe and most planning software. With Sunday first you can choose US numbering (week 1 contains 1 January) or the ISO number of each row’s Monday. Saturday-start calendars use Saturday weeks counted from 1 January. The week number calculator explains the systems and lists every week of a year.
Printing tips
The PDF has the exact paper size, so print it at Actual size (or 100%), not “Fit to page”. When printing straight from the browser, choose the same paper and orientation in the print dialog, set the margins to none or default, and keep scaling at 100%. The calendar asks the browser to print the weekend shading and the note lines; if they are missing, tick “Background graphics” in the print settings.
Calendar rules
Every year uses the Gregorian calendar, with a leap day in years divisible by 4 except century years not divisible by 400 (so 2000 was a leap year and 2100 will not be). The Gregorian calendar was introduced in 1582 — Thursday 4 October 1582 was followed by Friday 15 October — and Britain and its colonies switched in 1752. Calendars for earlier years are drawn with the same rules (the “proleptic” Gregorian calendar), so they do not match dates written at the time in countries that still used the Julian calendar.
Limitations
- Holiday lists cover India 2026–2027, the United States from 1971 and the United Kingdom 2019–2028. State, regional, religious and bank holidays are not included unless you add them as your own dates.
- The PDF uses standard fonts for English and Noto Sans for other Latin, Greek and Cyrillic letters. Scripts such as Devanagari, Bengali or Arabic cannot be drawn in the PDF; use Print → Save as PDF, which uses your device’s fonts.
- Long holiday names are shortened to fit small cells; the full names appear in the list under year calendars, which continues on extra pages when it is long. When a day has more entries than its square can hold, the last ones are replaced by “+N more”.
Privacy
The calendar is drawn in your browser, and your dates are never uploaded. The settings and your list of dates are remembered in this browser’s local storage so the calendar looks the same next time; Reset clears them.
Frequently asked questions
How do I print a calendar for next year?
Type the year (or use the arrows next to it), choose a layout and press Download PDF or Print. Any year from 1 to 9999 works.
Can I make a calendar from April to March?
Yes. Set Starting month to April and Months to 12. The title becomes “April 2026 – March 2027”, and holidays and week numbers follow the dates.
Which Indian holidays are included?
The holidays declared by the Department of Personnel and Training for Central Government offices in Delhi and New Delhi for 2026 and 2027 — Republic Day, Holi, Diwali and the other gazetted holidays — optionally with the restricted holidays. Other states and banks have different lists.
How do I add birthdays that repeat every year?
Write the date without a year, for example 14 Feb Anniversary, 14/02 Anniversary or --02-14 Anniversary. A birthday on 29 February appears only in leap years.
Why do my week numbers differ from my office calendar?
There are several numbering systems. ISO 8601 (Monday start, week 1 contains the first Thursday) and the US system (Sunday start, week 1 contains 1 January) often differ by one, and around New Year by much more: 1 January 2027 is in ISO week 53 of 2026 but in US week 1. Choose the one your office uses under Week numbers.
