About the File Splitter & Joiner

Split the complete file by whole part bytes or an exact part count. Native numeric .001,.002 parts preserve byte order, with a short or empty last part represented explicitly. A complete SHA-256 manifest records every part and the whole original. Joining checks names, lengths, each hash and the full joined hash, so missing, foreign or damaged parts are named before output. File reads use bounded slices and supported native writers stream to disk.

How to use it

  1. Choose a source file and partbytes/count, or choose all parts in any order with their manifest.
  2. Inspect the complete reported counts, errors and source metadata; screen windows never replace the underlying full dataset.
  3. Use explicit result controls to copy/download or perform a reviewed file action; stop/reset retains the original inputs.

Limitations

  • Browser download policies can require approving multiple files. Memory-backed fallback output remains subject to native Blob/browser resources; no bytes are silently dropped.
  • Only selected files/folders are read. Native filesystem permissions, mutable-file races and actual browser output delivery require supported-browser checks.

Privacy

On this device: nothing is sent

Selected file bytes, metadata, directory handles and generated results stay on this device. No upload or visitor-URL fetch is used.

Frequently asked questions

What do I get without a pass?

Without a pass, File Splitter & Joiner shows complete input counts and initial plan rows; complete processed plans and generated exports require a pass. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or saved to your device. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The files and complete processing stay in this browser. Native writes require your explicit folder/file choice.

Does the preview silently drop files?

No. Complete accounting and errors remain available. Screen rows and result gates control presentation/export, not input completeness.
