No source is executed or rendered. Dynamic references, missing data and external assets remain unknown; browser behavior still needs actual tests.

About the Browser Compatibility Checker
Parse CSS, JavaScript or HTML and resolve targets with a full retained Browserslist engine and packaged usage/release data. Real parsers identify source features; HTML is read inertly without executing or fetching its contents. Exact MDN entries are checked for every browser/version, retaining removals, ranges, alternatives, prefixes, flags and partial implementations. Dynamic code, ambiguous receiver types, external scripts and missing data stay explicit uncertainty. Imported project configs/statistics are local inputs. A Pro pass opens full reports and exports; source is never run or uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose CSS, JavaScript or HTML and paste source. External script/style URLs are never fetched.
- Enter a Browserslist query, with optional explicit imported configs/usage statistics. The complete packaged grammar and data resolve targets.
- Distinguish unsupported, conditional, prefixed, partial and unknown rows. A data report does not reproduce real browser behavior.
- Read MDN links and fallback hints; a Pro pass opens full reports while original code/config inputs stay unlocked.
Sources and applicability
MDN compatibility data, CC0. Browserslist, MIT. Can I Use data, CC BY 4.0; complete notices retained with caniuse-lite. Client context is adapted for explicit imports without remote lookup.
Limitations
- Static parsing cannot infer every dynamic feature, alias, receiver type or CSS cascade; uncertainty is not a pass.
- Packaged targets are source-data values, not observations of an installed browser or a deployed Node runtime.
Privacy
On this device; its files download once
The source you paste or open and its report stay on this device, and none of it is run.
Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Browser Compatibility Checker shows the first compatibility rows and parsing warnings; complete reports and exports stay locked. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
Why is unknown different from unsupported?
An explicit false support statement means unsupported. Missing data, uncomparable versions and dynamic references mean insufficient information and remain unknown.
Do prefixes and flags count as unconditional support?
No. Required prefixes, alternative names, flags and partial behavior remain material conditions with their source notes.
