About Woven Chapel: Last Draw
Woven Chapel: Last Draw is a solo card game set in the bell loft of a chapel that has become a moon observatory. A full deck hangs on a woven indigo rug in five warps of six, four, six, four and six cards, and the lowest card of a warp is played onto the altar stone: one rank up or down from the card on top, with the Ace and the King side by side. Above the warps a ring of stone, the oculus, shows the night sky and a thin crescent moon.
The spool holds only seven cards, and it is never wound back. Seven candles stand on the sill, one for each card, and every draw pinches one flame out. The last two draws toll a low bell, because the last cards decide the night: every card still on the spool when the warps are clear scores well. One bobbin holds a card aside, to reach the one beneath it or to keep it for a longer run.
Four spools of thread, one for each suit, show what each suit is worth, wound with more rings the dearer it is. Clearing a warp turns the loom: every suit moves up a step, and the suit worth the most is the full moon, which may be laid on any card of the altar stone. Plan which warp to finish next, because it decides which suit is the full moon. When the last warp falls the moon fills the oculus, silver threads are drawn across the rug and the bells ring out together.
Every deal is checked by a solving player before you see it, so it can always be cleared, and its par shows what a sharp player can reach. Tonight's rule changes one thing about the loft. A deal saves where you leave it, in this browser only; nothing is uploaded.
How to play
- Tap the lowest card of a warp, or drag it to the altar stone, when it is one rank above or below the card on top. The Ace and the King count as neighbours.
- The suit worth the most is the full moon: its cards may be laid on any card of the altar stone. Look at the four spools to see which suit it is.
- Clear a whole warp and every suit moves up a step in value, so the full moon passes to another suit. The moon in the oculus fills a little more.
- Hold a card aside on the bobbin to reach the one beneath it: drag it there, or tap it and then the bobbin. It can be played from there later.
- Draw from the spool when nothing fits. It holds only seven cards, and each one left at the end adds to your score.
- Clear all five warps to win. Press H or the Hint button for a good move, and U or the Undo button to take a move back.

Frequently asked questions
Why is it called Last Draw?
The spool holds only seven cards and is never wound back, so the last few draws decide whether the warps can be cleared. Each card left on the spool when you win adds to your score.
What is the full moon?
The suit worth the most right now. Its cards can be laid on any card of the altar stone. Clearing a warp moves every suit up a step, so the full moon passes to another suit.
What does the bobbin do?
It holds one card aside so you can reach the card beneath it, or keep a card for a longer run. A card on the bobbin can be played whenever it fits.
Can every deal be cleared?
With "Winnable deals only" (the default, and always for today's challenge) a solving player has cleared the deal before you see it. Choose "Any shuffle" in the settings for the luck of the draw.
Does it save my game?
Yes, in this browser only. Your unfinished deal, best scores and badges are never uploaded.
