About FreeCell
A browser version of FreeCell Solitaire: all 52 cards are dealt face up into eight tableau columns from the start, and four free cells give you temporary parking spots for any single card while you work out a path to the foundations.
This is a solo, non-wagering card game with no betting, stakes or cash prizes of any kind. Your local best move count is kept on this device only.
How to play
- Move a card, or a face-up descending run, onto a tableau card one rank higher of the opposite colour, or onto an empty column.
- Park any single card temporarily in an empty free cell when you need room to manoeuvre.
- How many cards you can move at once depends on how many free cells and empty columns are currently open.
- Move Aces first, then build each foundation upward by suit, Ace to King.
- Win by moving every card onto its foundation.
Controls
- Drag a card, or tap it then tap a destination — move cards
- Tap an empty free cell — park a card
Frequently asked questions
Why are all the cards face up?
FreeCell deals every card face up from the start — the challenge is entirely in planning moves, not in hidden information.
How many cards can I move at once?
As many as your open free cells and empty columns allow: each empty free cell or column roughly doubles how long a run you can relocate in one move.
