About Woven Archive: Suit Garden
Woven Archive: Suit Garden is a solo card game set in a miniature theatre made of card and thread, standing on a green baize table. A short deck, Ace to Seven in four suits, is set out as the scenery of three acts: three small stage-flats of one, two and three cards, over a stage floor of seven. A card can be struck only when nothing lies on it, and the card is planted in its suit's trap on the stage.
Each suit has a paper flower in a trap of its own, planted from the Ace up: a blue mask flower for spades, a rose for hearts, a golden sun for diamonds and a violet for clubs. Every card unfolds one more paper petal, and the Seven opens the flower fully and brings a spotlight down on it. The deal is won when all four flowers are in bloom. Three wings at the side hold a card each, and the prop trunk turns over one card at a time onto the prop table and can be turned back three times.
Behind the stage a painted night hangs between two gold columns, and velvet curtains stand only a crack apart at the start. They swing wider with every card you plant. Clearing an act, one of the three flats, turns the values of the suits one step round, so the dearest flower becomes the cheapest. When the last flower blooms the curtains swing fully open, four spotlights come on, the footlights chase and paper petals shower over the stage while the audience applauds.
Every deal is checked by a solving player before you see it, so it can always be won, and its par shows what a sharp stage manager can reach. Tonight's rule changes one thing about the theatre. A deal saves where you leave it, in this browser only; nothing is uploaded.
How to play
- Strike an uncovered card by tapping it, or dragging it to its flower's trap, when it is the next card of that suit: the Ace first, then the Two, up to the Seven.
- Every card planted unfolds a paper petal. The Seven opens the flower fully. Bring all four flowers into bloom to win.
- Hold a card aside in a wing to reach the one beneath it: drag it there, or tap it and then the wing. It can be planted from there later.
- Draw from the prop trunk when nothing can be planted. Its cards go onto the prop table, and the table can be turned back into the trunk three times.
- Clearing an act turns the values of the suits one step round. Press H or the Hint button for a good move, and U or the Undo button to take a move back.

Frequently asked questions
How do I grow a flower?
Plant its cards in order from the Ace up to the Seven. Each card unfolds a paper petal, and the Seven opens the flower fully.
What are the wings for?
Each holds one card aside so you can reach the card beneath it. A card in a wing can still be planted whenever it is the next one for its flower.
What do the curtains do?
They open a little more with every card you plant, as a picture of how far the show has come. When the last flower blooms they swing fully open.
Can every deal be won?
With "Winnable deals only" (the default, and always for today's challenge) a solving player has won the deal before you see it. Choose "Any shuffle" in the settings for the luck of the draw.
Does it save my game?
Yes, in this browser only. Your unfinished deal, best scores and badges are never uploaded.
