About Static Signal: Arcade Weather
Static Signal: Arcade Weather puts you at the controls of the last tram of a midnight city, seen from the side as it runs along the line. There are only two controls. Hold Go to pick up speed, hold Brake to slow down, and let go of both to coast. The whole game is in judging how far the tram needs to stop.
Each platform has a stop board, and the closer the tram's nose stops to it the more it pays; a dead-centre stop pays the most. Level crossings have barriers that come down for a few seconds in every cycle, with warning lamps first, and the slow zone through the night market has a speed limit. A missed stop, a barrier hit, a speeding ticket or a tram left standing too long is a dent, and three dents end the run.
Every stretch of line is a round with its own weather. Clear skies are the plain service. Rain on the rails makes the brakes far weaker, so you start slowing much earlier. Dense fog hides the line until it is close and turns the service into request stops: stop only at the lit boards and run past the dark ones. A gale pushes the tram with gusts and brings the slow zone, and the whole storm arrives together later on. Four good stops in a row turn the signals green: for eight seconds the barriers stay open, the tram pulls away faster, every stop pays double and five seconds go back on the clock. A run is 60 seconds, 90 at most. Each run draws one rule variation, the daily run is the same line for everyone that day, and Pace and Assist are in the settings. Your best scores and badges stay in this browser.
How to play
- Hold Go (right arrow, D, Space, right trigger or the Go button) to speed up; hold Brake (left arrow, A, Shift, left trigger or the Brake button) to slow down.
- Stop with the nose on the stop board. The closer, the more it pays.
- Rain weakens the brakes, fog hides the line, wind pushes the tram. Read the round banner.
- Wait for the barrier, stay under the limit in the slow zone, and on request rounds stop only at lit boards.
- Four good stops in a row turn the signals green: open barriers, double points and five more seconds.

Frequently asked questions
How do I stop on the board?
Slow down well before the platform and let the tram roll up to the board, tapping the brake near the end. A short bar on the track, which you can turn off in Settings, shows where the tram would stop if you braked now. Stop with the nose on the board for the most points.
What changes in the rain?
The brakes bite only about half as hard, so the tram needs nearly twice the distance to stop. Start braking earlier than in clear weather and keep your speed lower.
What are request stops?
In the fog round only the stops with a lit board count. Stop at those, and run past the dark ones: a dark board you run past pays a small bonus, and stopping at one only costs you three seconds.
What makes a dent?
Running past a lit board, hitting a barrier, a speeding ticket in the slow zone, and leaving the tram standing for about six seconds away from a platform or barrier. Three dents end the run.
What do the green signals do?
Four good stops in a row, each within the marked zone of its board, turn every signal green for eight seconds: the barriers stay open, the tram pulls away faster, stops pay double and five seconds go back on the clock.
Is there an easier way to play?
Yes. In Settings, Pace set to Relaxed runs the whole line at three-quarter speed, Assist widens the marked zone of every board and adds a breather between rounds, and Toggle instead of hold lets you press Go once to start and again to stop. The run is saved if you leave and picks up at the start of the round you were in.
