About Snake
A browser version of the classic Snake game: steer with the arrow keys, WASD or a swipe, eat the food to grow, and avoid the walls and your own body. The game speeds up gradually as your score rises.
Your best score is kept on this device only; it is never uploaded or added to an account.
How to play
- Use the arrow keys, WASD, or swipe on a touch screen, to choose a direction.
- Eat the small square to grow one cell longer and score a point.
- Avoid the edges of the board and your own tail — either ends the run.
- Press Restart to play again. Your local best score is shown above the board.

No — the game only ends when you hit a wall or your own tail. It speeds up gradually as your score grows.
