About the Ads.txt & App-Ads.txt Generator / Validator
Create and validate complete pasted ads.txt or app-ads.txt content without uploading it. Add an advertising-system domain, your exact account ID, its real DIRECT or RESELLER relationship and an optional certification ID. Retain comments, extensions and every variable, review all reported line errors, then export the complete current file with a Pro pass. This local syntax tool does not certify seller authorization or fetch a live file.
How to use it
- Select the web or app file format and supply the hosting domain if checking web subdomain referrals.
- Add actual account records or paste the complete file, including any supported variable declarations.
- Review every line and effective-variable explanation. Export a generated file only after its syntax errors are corrected and the current result is unlocked.
Specification and crawl context
The IAB Tech Lab specification defines three required record fields, an optional certification field, comments and extension syntax. CONTACT supports human-readable contact methods; OWNERDOMAIN uses its first declaration; MANAGERDOMAIN supports global and country-specific business domains. SUBDOMAIN is unused in app-ads.txt. Actual HTTP status, redirects, text/plain delivery, domain ownership, sellers.json and app-store discovery must be checked separately; this pasted-input tool does not verify them.
Crawler access is separate from file syntax
The AdSense crawling guidance starts at the root domain’s /ads.txt path. A www-hosted file needs the appropriate root-domain redirect, robots.txt must allow access, and the file should return HTTP 200 without malformed content. Check HTTP and HTTPS delivery separately. Crawl/review changes need not appear immediately. This local checker does not contact those addresses or promise crawling, activation or monetization.
Limitations
- Copy your actual account identifier from your platform. No publisher ID, certification or authorized relationship is inferred or looked up.
- Unknown extension variables and semicolon record extensions are preserved without interpreting their private semantics.
- Business-domain classification uses the complete bundled suffix data; confirm new or unusual namespaces independently.
- There is no own record/text quota. Every input line and issue remains in the full report; large files depend on your device.
- Live URL fetching, HTTP/content-type tests and app-store discovery are unavailable in this local mode.

Frequently asked questions
What do I get without a pass?
Without a pass, Ads.txt & App-Ads.txt Generator / Validator shows record labels with generated file contents, validation details and complete exports hidden. Until you unlock it, the result can’t be downloaded or copied. A Pro, Premium or Ultimate pass, a one-time payment that never renews, unlocks the full result. The pricing page lists the passes and their prices.
Does valid syntax prove that a seller is authorized?
No. The file records your declaration. Actual account control, contracts, platform identifiers and seller authorization require separate verification.
Must the certification ID be a particular hexadecimal value?
No. That field is optional and refers to a certification authority’s identifier. The checker retains the supplied opaque ID and does not certify it.
Can CONTACT contain a phone number or a contact page?
Yes. It is human-readable contact information rather than an email-only field. Keep any separator and comment rules in mind.
