About Static Courier: One More Run
Static Courier: One More Run is a quick arcade shift on the gantry of a robot repair arena, seen from the side. Broken robots ride a conveyor belt along the floor from the door on the right to the scrap chute on the left. Above them a trolley runs on its rail with a claw underneath, and you are at its controls.
Slide the trolley, press to lower the claw and it closes on the robot under it at the bottom of the drop, so you lead the belt a little. Carry the robot to one of the three repair bays on the bench and press again to set it down. Every 15-second round brings a new target rule: match the colour of the bay lamps, take the big robots first, repair only the called colour, make matching pairs in one bay, or survive the rush hour when the belt speeds up. A robot that the rule wants and that reaches the chute costs a dent, a wrong bay jams shut for a moment, and three dents end the shift.
Repairs in a row climb the multiplier from ×1 to ×8. Six good repairs without a slip fire the Static Surge: blue arcs leap along the belt, every robot on it is repaired at once and four seconds go back on the clock. A shift is 60 seconds, 90 at most, so a run is short and the next one is one press away. Each shift draws one rule variation, the daily shift is the same line-up for everyone that day, and Pace and Assist are in the settings. Your best scores and badges stay in this browser.
How to play
- Slide the trolley with the arrow keys, A and D, a stick or the on-screen arrows. Space, Down, Enter, Ⓐ or the Claw button lowers the claw and sets a robot down.
- The claw grabs at the bottom of its drop, so aim a little ahead of the robot on the belt.
- Read the round rule on the banner: match the lamp, big first, one colour, pairs or rush hour.
- A wanted robot that reaches the chute is a dent. Three dents end the shift; a wrong bay jams for a moment.
- Six good repairs in a row fire the Static Surge: every robot on the belt is repaired and four seconds are added.
Controls
- Arrow keys, A and D, left stick, D-pad or the on-screen arrows — slide the trolley
- Space, Down, S, Enter, Ⓐ or the Claw button — lower the claw or set the robot down
- P, Escape or Start — pause
Frequently asked questions
How do I grab a robot that keeps moving?
The claw closes at the bottom of its drop, a third of a second after you press, and the belt carries the robot a short way meanwhile. Press when the claw is a little ahead of the robot, towards the door it came from.
What are the round rules?
Match the lamp: put each robot in the bay whose lamp matches its colour. Heavies first: big robots score triple and cost a dent if they get away. One colour only: repair just the called colour. Matching pairs: two of the same shape in one bay pay extra. Rush hour: the belt speeds up and nothing costs a dent.
What makes a dent?
A robot that the current rule wants reaching the chute, or being dropped on the floor, costs one dent. Three dents end the shift. A wrong bay does not cost a dent, but it jams for a moment and breaks your chain.
What is the Static Surge?
Six good repairs in a row without a wrong bay, a drop or a dent charge it. Blue arcs then repair every robot on the belt at once and add four seconds to the clock, up to the 90-second limit.
Is there an easier way to play?
Yes. In Settings, Pace set to Relaxed runs the whole arena at three-quarter speed, and Assist makes the claw and the bays more forgiving and adds a breather between rounds. Bay marks draw a shape over each lamp so colour is never the only clue.
Does the game save?
A shift you leave is kept in this browser and picks up at the start of the round you were in. Best scores, the daily result and badges stay in this browser and are never uploaded.
