About Rally Table Tennis

A browser table tennis game built around a real serve-rally-point structure, not just a flat-paddle reflex bounce. Serve to start each point, then rally: hold a direction as your paddle makes contact to put spin on the ball and bend its return angle, and watch the rally speed climb the longer a point goes on.

First to 11 points wins, but you must win by at least 2 — tie at 10-10 and the point keeps serving back and forth until someone pulls ahead. Nothing here involves betting or prizes; it is a quick, free game for a short break.

How to play

  1. Press Space, click or tap to serve when it is your serve.
  2. Move your paddle with the mouse, touch-drag, or the up/down arrow keys.
  3. Hold up or down as the ball meets your paddle to add spin and bend its return angle.
  4. First to 11 points wins — but you must win by 2, so a 10-10 tie plays on.

Controls

  • Mouse drag, touch-drag, or up/down arrows — move paddle
  • Hold up/down at contact — add spin
  • Space, click or tap — serve

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from Pong?

Pong is a flat-paddle reflex game scored to a fixed hit count with no serve. This game has an actual serve-rally-point structure, scores to 11 with a win-by-2 rule, and lets you add spin by holding a direction as the ball meets your paddle.

What does spin actually do?

Holding up or down the instant your paddle contacts the ball bends its return angle further than a plain bounce, making the next return harder to read.

Does the rally really speed up?

Yes — each successful hit within a point nudges the ball a little faster, up to a cap, so long rallies get progressively more intense.
