About Checkout Challenge

A browser darts-countdown game: start at 101 and work your score down over 3-dart turns. Each throw is a timing click against a reticle that drifts across the board, so landing in the high-value zones takes a steady hand rather than a precise mouse click.

Overshoot below zero, or land on exactly 1, and the whole turn busts — none of that turn's score counts. Reach exactly zero to win. Nothing here involves betting or prizes; it is a quick, free game for a short break.

How to play

  1. Click, tap or press Space the moment the drifting reticle lines up with the zone you want.
  2. Each turn is 3 darts; your total score goes down by what you hit.
  3. Going below zero, or landing on exactly 1, busts the whole turn — that turn scores nothing.
  4. Reach exactly zero to win. Your best turn score is saved on this device.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if I go below zero?

That is a bust — your whole 3-dart turn scores nothing, and your remaining total goes back to what it was before the turn started.

Why does landing on exactly 1 bust too?

With one dart left you can never finish from a remaining score of 1, so landing there busts the turn, matching how real darts "checkout" rules work.

Does it save my best score?

Your best single-turn score is saved in this browser only (local storage) and shown the next time you play.
