About Penalty Shootout

A best-of-5 penalty shootout: take turns kicking by choosing where across the goal to aim and how hard to strike, then switch to diving as the keeper against the computer’s kicks.

Every player, kit and goal shown here uses generic original shapes and colours — no real team names, logos or player likenesses. Nothing involves betting or prizes; it is just a quick shootout.

How to play

  1. Drag across the goal mouth to aim your kick, then release at your chosen power.
  2. When diving as keeper, click or tap the side of the goal you think the kick is going to.
  3. Score more goals than the computer across 5 rounds each to win the shootout.
  4. A tie after 5 rounds each continues into sudden-death rounds until someone is ahead.
