About Connect Four

A browser version of Connect Four on the standard 7-column, 6-row grid. Drop a disc into any open column and try to line up four of your colour in a row, column or diagonal before your opponent does.

Play against the built-in computer, or pass the device to a friend for local two-player. Nothing here involves betting or prizes.

How to play

  1. Click or tap a column, or use the arrow keys and Enter, to drop your disc there.
  2. Discs fall to the lowest open row in that column.
  3. Line up four discs of your colour in a row, a column or a diagonal to win.
  4. If the grid fills with no winner, the round is a draw.

Can two people play on one phone?

Yes — choose Two players and take turns tapping a column.

How hard is the computer opponent?

It looks several moves ahead and will take winning moves and block your immediate threats, so careless play loses quickly.
