How it helps
Options from the ground up
What a call and a put are, who has the right and who has the obligation, the words on a contract, how money changes hands, and why every premium is intrinsic value plus time value.
Payoff diagrams you can check
Every diagram is drawn from numbers you can check: the four basic positions, how legs add up, and 10 common shapes, from the covered call and the spreads to the straddle, the iron condor and the butterfly, each with its legs, best and worst results and breakevens. They are shapes to learn from, never suggestions.
The Greeks in plain words
Delta, gamma, theta, vega and rho explained one at a time, with a chart for each of the first four, then for a whole position, with put-call parity and the model's formulas and limits.
A workbook for your own numbers
Type up to four legs, or start from one of 15 shapes, and the Payoff builder works out the net premium, the exact best and worst results at expiry, up to four breakevens, the position's Greeks and a chart. It also has a Greeks calculator, a model option chain and a practice sheet that checks your answers.

Questions
Does this kit tell me what to trade?
No. It never names a real security, index or price and gives no view to buy, sell or hold anything. Every example uses invented instruments (Index X, Stock A) and made-up prices.
Do I need to know anything about options first?
No. Part 1 starts from what an option is. Basic arithmetic is enough; Part 3 explains the model step by step, and every exercise has a worked answer.
Which apps open the workbook?
Microsoft Excel 2016 or later, Google Sheets in a web browser, and LibreOffice Calc 7.6 or later. We tested it in LibreOffice Calc 26.8.2.2; it has no macros and needs no internet connection.
Can I use my own numbers?
Yes. Type the price, the lot size, the strikes, the premiums you see and the lots; the workbook works out the results from what you type. It does not fetch prices and suggests no trade.
What files do I get?
The guide as A4, US Letter and phone PDFs (46, 47 and 90 pages), the Options Payoff Workbook (.xlsx), and the licence, changelog and a start-here list as text files.
What if I find an error?
