Using coupons and deals well

What each card tells you

A coupon works only when you enter its code at the store’s checkout, and once this page has loaded, its card shows a Copy code button. A deal asks for no code, because the store applies it on the page the card’s link opens.

Valid until names the last day the store set for an offer, and the offer leaves this page when that day is over. Where a card has Offer terms from the store, that folded part holds the conditions in the store’s own words.

Read the terms before you rely on a code

A code may ask for a minimum basket, work only on a first order or in the store’s app, or cover some brands and leave out others. Some allow one use for each account, and some cannot be joined with other offers.

When a code is refused at checkout, compare its terms with your basket before you try again. Adding items only to reach a minimum basket can cost more than the code takes off, so count the whole total first.

Check the whole price before you pay

Judge an offer by the total at the end of checkout, after delivery, packing and any other charges, and compare that figure rather than the first price you saw.

Match the item exactly as well: the model, size, colour, pack and seller should be the ones you wanted, since an offer can sit on a close variant. Any figure in an offer’s title is the store’s own, so test it against that final total.

Returns, exchanges, delivery times and warranties are set by each store. Read its own pages on them before you pay, and keep the invoice until you are sure of your purchase.

How MySmartCoPilot chooses these offers

We list offers only from stores we link to in your shopping country, and only offers that apply to a purchase. Offers for signing up to a service or getting an app stay off this page, and an offer stays here only while it runs.

Within each section, the offers that reached us most recently come first, with at most three from one store, so that no store crowds out the rest. The main Deals page shows up to twelve offers for each section, and where a section has more, the link under it opens that section’s own page.

Sections keep the same order for everyone, and no store can pay for a higher place in these lists. Each offer card carries the label Ad, because every offer is a store’s own promotion.

How deals are checked

A deal shows only with its basis in words: a sale price the store lists below its own list price, as the store states both. Shipping, taxes, coupons and cashback stay separate, and the merchant confirms the final checkout price.

Store coupons and deals are the stores’ own offers, shown in their words with the date they are valid until, and they leave this page when they expire.
