About the Shipping Label Cropper for Meesho, Flipkart and Amazon India

Seller panels hand you labels on A4 sheets: a label above its tax invoice, two labels side by side on one sheet, or a label page followed by its invoice page. Thermal printers want one 4×6 label per page, and laser printers with sticker sheets want four. Drop the PDF here and every label is found, cropped and placed on 4×6, 3×5 or 4×4 inch labels or four to an A4 sheet with cut lines. Invoices go after the labels, into a separate PDF or nowhere, blank and instruction pages are left out, and the labels can be put in SKU or courier order.

Labels carry your buyers’ names, addresses and phone numbers, so the file is opened, cropped and saved in your browser — nothing is uploaded and no account is needed. Labels stay vectors, so text and barcodes are as sharp as in the original, and the crop keeps the blank margin scanners need beside each barcode (as much of it as the original has).

Common uses

• Printing marketplace labels on a 4×6 (100 × 150 mm) thermal label printer.
• Printing four labels per A4 sheet on a laser or inkjet printer, with cut lines or on 4-up sticker sheets.
• Separating tax invoices from labels so they can be printed on plain A4 or left out.

How the marketplace presets work

A preset holds no fixed coordinates. It tells the cropper what to expect on a page — Flipkart and Shopsy: one label above its tax invoice; Meesho Supplier panel: two labels per sheet, each with its invoice; Meesho Seller panel: single labels; Amazon Easy Ship and Seller Flex: a label and its invoice on one page or on two pages one after the other — and the boxes are found on every page from what is printed there:

• the page is split into blocks at blank gaps and at cut lines (dashed lines across the page);
• a block is a label when it has shipping words (“Ship to”, “Deliver to”, “If undelivered, return to”, “AWB”, “COD”, “Prepaid”) or a 1D barcode, and an invoice when it has invoice words (“Tax Invoice”, “Invoice No.”, “HSN”, “Taxable value”, “Authorised Signatory”);
• neighbouring blocks of one kind are joined, so a label’s product table stays with it.

So a small change in a marketplace’s layout usually needs no update. Myntra, Ajio, JioMart, GlowRoad and other couriers use the same detection without a layout rule. Each preset shows its version (v1); if labels from your panel are found wrong, use Same box on every page and tell us what changed — describe the layout, but don’t send label files: they hold your buyers’ details.

Barcodes and quiet zones

Scanners need blank space on both sides of a barcode. Code 128, the barcode on most courier labels, needs at least ten times its narrowest bar (ISO/IEC 15417; the GS1 General Specifications use the same 10X for GS1-128), and QR codes need four modules (DENSO WAVE). The cropper measures every 1D barcode on the page and, when a label’s barcode is close to its edge, widens the crop until the full quiet zone is inside — never into the next label. A crop never cuts through anything printed on a label. A box you draw by hand is checked too: the preview warns when it cuts a barcode or its margin and offers to fix it.

Labels are placed as vector graphics, not pictures, so nothing is blurred, and they are scaled the same in both directions (turned by 90° only when that shows them larger). The result page shows the scale; print the PDF at 100%.

Label sizes

• 4 × 6 in (101.6 × 152.4 mm): the common thermal label, often sold as 100 × 150 mm.
• 3 × 5 in and 4 × 4 in: smaller thermal labels.
• A4 · 4 per sheet: four quarters of A4 (105 × 148.5 mm) with dashed cut lines; Start at position skips stickers already used on a part-used sheet.
• Original size: each label on its own page at exactly its size, for printers that scale themselves.

Margin is the blank border kept on each label (2 mm by default), for printers that can’t print to the edge.

Limitations

• Labels are found from their words and barcodes. A scanned PDF has no words, so only labels with a barcode are found and invoices come from the preset’s layout — check the preview, or draw the boxes.
• One PDF at a time. Several files, SKU stamps, picklists and courier summaries are in the Bulk Label Sorter.
• SKU and courier sorting reads the text printed on each label; labels whose SKU or courier can’t be read are kept, at the end.
• Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first with Unlock PDF.
• Interactive parts of the original (links, form fields) are not kept on the cropped labels.
• Labels are cut out of the original pages as vectors, not copied as pictures, so the rest of each original page stays in the new PDF, hidden — for example invoices you left out, or the other label of a 2-up sheet. It never prints or shows on screen, but PDF text tools can still read it: give the cropped file only to someone who may see the original.

Privacy

Everything happens in your browser. What you enter or open here is not uploaded or stored by MySmartCoPilot. The PDF engine (pdf.js and pdf-lib) downloads from this site the first time you open a file. Your label PDF is read, cropped and saved on your device and never uploaded.
