Internship Certificate Generator
Internship completion certificates and letters, with the duration worked out for you.

The PNG is the PDF drawn as an image (200 dpi for the certificate, 150 dpi for the letter). Word (.docx) opens in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice and Google Docs; it uses common fonts, so the name is not in the script style there.
About the Internship Certificate Generator
Enter the intern, their college and course, the role, the department and the start and end dates, and the certificate builds itself — the duration is worked out for you (both days counted: 1 June to 23 August is 12 weeks). Add the project, the mentor, a remark on performance and up to two signatures, then download it.
Choose a landscape certificate in one of four themes — Classic, Modern, Elegant or Minimal, with the name in a script or bold font — or an A4 letter on your letterhead with a list of the work done. Download a PDF, a PNG image for sharing online, or an editable Word file.
How to use it
- Choose the layout — a landscape certificate or an A4 letter — and, for a certificate, a theme and colour.
- Fill in the organisation and add your logo; they are kept in this browser for the next certificate.
- Enter the intern’s name, course and college, the role, department and the start and end dates — the duration appears below the dates.
- Add the project and mentor if you like, and choose the performance remark or write your own.
- Add the signatories (and a second one, such as the mentor and HR), with signature images if you have them, and a space for the seal.
- Check the preview, then Download PDF, PNG or Word, or print it.
Examples
This is to certify that Priya Nair, a student of B.Tech, Computer Science (third year) at Example Institute of Technology, has successfully completed an internship as a Data Science Intern in the Analytics department at Example Analytics Pvt Ltd from 01 Jun 2026 to 23 Aug 2026 (12 weeks), working in a hybrid (on-site and remote) arrangement.
1 Jun – 23 Aug 2026: 12 weeks · 1 Jun – 31 Jul 2026: 2 months · 4 May – 18 May 2026: 15 days
Change Show the duration as to always use weeks, months and days, or days.
Certificate or letter?
- The certificate is a landscape page to frame or share: the organisation and logo, the heading, the intern’s name in large type, one citation paragraph, and the date, certificate number and signatures along the bottom.
- The letter is an A4 page on your letterhead, “to whom it may concern”, with the same details, the list of work done and a signature block — useful when a college or an employer asks for a letter.
Both can carry up to two signatures — for example the mentor and someone from HR — and a space for the seal.
How the duration is worked out
From the start date to the end date, counting both days. Automatic uses whole weeks for internships that are an exact number of weeks up to six months (84 days = 12 weeks), and otherwise months and days (1 June to 31 July = 2 months) or days for anything shorter than a month. Choose Weeks, Months and days or Days to fix the style.
Files
- PDF: A4 landscape (certificate) or A4 portrait (letter), with the fonts embedded — Montserrat for the heading and Great Vibes for the name in the Classic and Elegant themes, Noto Sans for the text. A name with letters those fonts lack is written in Noto Sans.
- PNG: the PDF drawn as an image — 200 dpi for the certificate, 150 dpi for the letter — for e-mail, LinkedIn or a website.
- Word: an editable .docx. Word does not have the certificate fonts, so the heading and name use Calibri and Georgia there.
Limitations
- One certificate at a time; for a batch, use New certificate, which keeps the organisation, design and signatories and moves the certificate number on by one (EA/INT/2026/017 → EA/INT/2026/018).
- The PDF and PNG draw Latin-script text (with ₹, € and £). For names in other scripts, use the Word file or Print.
- The preview on the page is close to the PDF but drawn by your browser; the PDF and PNG are the exact files.
- The first download needs a connection to fetch the PDF engine and fonts; Print works offline.

Everything happens in your browser. Names, logos and signatures are not uploaded or stored by MySmartCoPilot; the draft is kept in this browser’s local storage until you press Clear saved data on this device.
Frequently asked questions
What should an internship certificate include?
The organisation’s name and logo, the intern’s name, their college and course, the role and department, the start and end dates and duration, the project or work done, a remark on performance, the date of issue, a certificate number, and the signature of an authorised person.
How is the internship duration calculated?
From the first day to the last day, both counted. 1 June to 23 August 2026 is 84 days, which is 12 weeks; 1 June to 31 July is 2 months.
Can I download the certificate as an image?
Yes — PNG gives the certificate as a 200 dpi image, ready to share. It is the PDF drawn as an image, so the two look the same.
Can two people sign the certificate?
Yes. Use Add a second signature — for example the mentor and the HR manager — and add a signature image for each if you have one.
Can I edit the certificate in Word?
Yes. Word downloads an editable .docx of the certificate or the letter, which opens in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice and Google Docs.
Is anything I type uploaded?
No. The certificate is built in your browser, and the draft is saved only in this browser until you clear it.
