About the SVG to PNG Converter
Turn SVG vector graphics into PNG, JPG or WebP images. Load .svg (or compressed .svgz) files, or paste SVG code straight from a design tool or a web page. The drawing is rendered by your browser at the exact output size — not enlarged from a small picture — so edges and text stay sharp at 1×, 2×, 8× or any width and height you enter.
Need an icon in many sizes? Choose Icon sizes and get 16, 32, 48 … 1024 px versions in one ZIP, each rendered separately and centred on a square canvas. Keep the background transparent or fill it with a colour, and optionally store a print resolution (DPI). The converter also warns when an SVG uses external images, style sheets or fonts, which browsers do not load inside images.
How to use it
- Drop .svg files onto the box, or paste SVG code (starting with
<svg) into Paste SVG code. - Choose the format — PNG keeps transparency — and the size: a Scale such as 2×, a Width or Height, an Exact size, or a list of Icon sizes.
- Optionally fill the background with a colour (JPG always has one) and set the DPI for print layouts.
- Check any warnings on the file, then download the image, or Download all as a ZIP.
Examples
logo.svg (viewBox 0 0 120 40) · PNG · Width 1200 px
logo.png, 1200 × 400 px, transparent, rendered at full resolution.
icon.svg · Icon sizes 16, 32, 48, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024 · Square canvas
icon.zip with icon-16x16.png … icon-1024x1024.png, each drawn separately so small sizes are not blurry.

Common uses
- Exporting logos and icons for apps, app stores, email signatures and social media profiles.
- Turning SVG charts and diagrams into images for Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs or printing.
- Producing @2x / @3x retina assets for websites and mobile apps.
- Rendering SVG code copied from a website, an icon library or a design tool without opening an editor.
How big will the PNG be?
An SVG states its size with width and height attributes, or only with a viewBox (then the viewBox width and height are used, in CSS pixels). Lengths in mm, cm, in or pt are converted at 96 px per inch, as in browsers. If an SVG has no size at all, browsers assume 300 × 150 px — add a viewBox or choose an exact size. Exact size gives the image exactly that many pixels; the drawing keeps its proportions and is centred, as the SVG’s preserveAspectRatio setting defines (W3C SVG 2).
What the warnings mean
When an SVG is used as an image, browsers draw it in a sandbox: scripts never run, and nothing outside the file is loaded — no linked images, no external style sheets, no web fonts. Text uses only fonts installed on your device. So that you are not surprised by a missing logo or the wrong typeface, the converter lists:
- linked images or SVG files (embed them as data: URLs instead);
- external style sheets and web fonts (convert text to outlines, or embed the font);
- fonts that may not be installed on another computer;
- HTML inside
<foreignObject>, scripts and animations (only the first moment is captured).
DPI and print size
DPI does not change the number of pixels; it is a note in the file telling layout and print programs how large to place the image. A 3000-pixel-wide PNG at 300 DPI is 10 inches (25.4 cm) wide in print. PNG files store it in the pHYs chunk (W3C PNG Specification) and JPG files in the JFIF header; WebP has no standard field for it.
Limitations
- Each image can be up to 16,384 px on its longest side and 50 megapixels; up to 100 SVG files and 40 sizes per batch.
- External images, style sheets and web fonts referenced by an SVG are not loaded (browsers block them in images).
- Text is drawn with fonts installed on this device, so it can look different on another computer — convert text to paths for exact results.
- Animated SVGs are captured as they look at the start.

Frequently asked questions
Will the PNG have a transparent background?
Yes, unless you tick Fill the background or choose JPG (which cannot store transparency). PNG and WebP keep transparent areas exactly.
Why does my text look different?
SVG text needs its font. In images, browsers use only fonts installed on your device, so a web font or a font you do not have is replaced. Convert text to outlines (paths) in your design tool, or embed the font in the SVG as a data: URL.
Why is part of the image missing?
The SVG probably links to another file (an image, another SVG or a style sheet). Browsers never load linked files for SVG images. The warning on the file names what was linked; embed it as a data: URL and convert again.
Is converting SVG to PNG lossless?
The PNG is an exact, lossless image of the rendered drawing at the chosen size. It is no longer a vector, though: keep the SVG for further editing or larger sizes.
Is my SVG uploaded?
No. The SVG is rendered by your browser on your device, and the page works offline once loaded.
