Your country

Tools that support it use your country for local currency, number formats, units and paper size. Your choice is saved only in this browser.

Type a name or a two-letter code. Use the up and down arrow keys to move through the countries, Enter to choose one and Escape to close.

Keep your notes safe

Your notes are saved only in this browser on this device. Clearing this site’s data, a private window or a new device means they are gone unless you have a backup.

About the Online Notepad

A clean place to write that saves every change as you type — in this browser, on this device. Keep as many notes as you like, search them, see the word count, find and replace, write full screen or in dark mode, and download a note as a .txt or .md file. There is no account and nothing is uploaded.

Because the notes live only in this browser, clearing its data deletes them. The page says so plainly and makes backups easy: Download backup saves all your notes in one file that you can restore here — on this or another device — at any time.

How to use it

  1. Start typing. The first line becomes the note’s title, and every change is saved in this browser within a second.
  2. Click New note for another one. Your notes are listed most recent first; type in Search notes to find one.
  3. Use Find & replace (Ctrl+F or ⌘F in the note) to find text, step through the matches and replace them one by one or all at once.
  4. Click Full screen to write without distractions, Dark mode for a dark page, and .txt or .md to download the note.
  5. Every now and then, click Download backup and keep the file somewhere safe. Restore from backup brings the notes back, also on another device.

Examples

Moving notes to another computer
Input
Download backup on the old computer → open this page on the new one → Restore from backup
Result
All notes appear on the new computer. Notes that exist on both keep the newer version.
Replace all
Input
Find “colour”, replace with “color”, Whole words
Result
“Replaced 12 matches.” “colours” stays as it is, because whole words is on.

Common uses

  • Quick notes, to-do lists and drafts without signing in anywhere.
  • Writing in a quiet, full-screen editor without the distractions of a word processor.
  • Keeping text to paste later — addresses, replies, code snippets.
  • Drafting on a shared or work computer where you cannot install anything (download a backup before you leave).

Where your notes are kept

Notes are stored in this browser’s IndexedDB storage, on this device only — MySmartCoPilot never receives them. They stay when you close the tab or restart the computer, but they are deleted when you clear this site’s data (cookies and site data), use a private or incognito window (the notes vanish when it closes), or remove the browser. Safari may also delete a site’s data when you have not visited it for seven days of browsing. The page asks the browser to keep the notes as persistent storage; browsers decide this themselves, and the note under the editor shows what yours said.

Notes are not synced between devices or browsers. To move them, download a backup and restore it in the other browser.

Backups and downloads

  • Download backup saves every note, with its dates, in one .json file. Restore from backup adds the notes from such a file; a note that exists in both places keeps the version changed last, and nothing is deleted.
  • .txt and .md download the open note as a plain-text file, named after its title. Use .md if you write Markdown.
  • All notes (.zip) downloads every note as its own .txt file in one ZIP archive, to open in any editor.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Ctrl+F / ⌘F in a note: find. Ctrl+H / ⌥⌘F: find and replace.
  • Enter and Shift+Enter in the find box: next and previous match. Esc: close find.
  • Ctrl+S / ⌘S: save now (notes are saved automatically anyway).

Limitations

  • Notes exist only in this browser on this device; clearing site data, private windows or a new device mean starting empty unless you restore a backup.
  • Plain text only: no formatting, images or attachments.
  • Notes are not encrypted. Anyone who uses this browser profile can open the page and read them.
  • Very long notes (millions of characters) can make typing slow; split them into several notes.

Privacy

Everything happens in your browser. What you enter or open here is not uploaded or stored by MySmartCoPilot.

Frequently asked questions

Are my notes uploaded or shared?

No. They are saved only in this browser, and nothing you write is sent to MySmartCoPilot or anyone else.

Will my notes still be here tomorrow?

Yes, in the same browser on the same device — unless you clear this site’s data, wrote them in a private window, or (in Safari) do not visit the page for a while. Download a backup now and then to be safe.

Can I use it on my phone and my computer?

Yes, but each browser keeps its own notes. Download a backup on one and restore it on the other to copy notes across.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once the page has loaded, you can write and save without an internet connection.

How do I delete a note?

Open it and click Delete, then click again to confirm. Deleted notes cannot be recovered, except from a backup file.
